Who should start at QB for 2023

He should have been.

He is probably the best qb drafted in the last 20 years, probably better than Stroud or Young and was a top 10 pick. And didn't start for a year.

If the coach believes he is ready, so be it. If it takes a few gamed, or evena full season, that is ok as long as he eventually becomes a good QB.

This brings up a good point, a lot depends upon the personality of the QB.  Some may have to take a year to learn the system.  However, the same thing could be said about a free agent, like Andy Dalton.

The chosen one - Matt Corral!!11!!1!!

As an Ole Miss graduate, I would love this to be true.  As a Panthers fan,  I will wait and see how he performs in the Preseason.

my only knock against Corral is, “is he mentally ready and fit”.

This will be the first glimpse of what kind of coach Reich will be , if he is going to be the all out go for it at all costs coach we want, then the pick will be starting

But if you see Andy Dalton trod on the field, get ready for more of the same play not to lose careful safe mediocre crap we are used to

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
