ESPN’s Matt Miller: “There's a lot of like for C.J. Stroud there, but Bryce won the entire organization over.”

Tepper is becoming another Jerry Jones. Everything he has wanted he has gotten and has failed. From Matt Rhule and holding him to long to Same Darnold to Baker. Everything he has wanted has been trash. Let the coaches who have played the position and GM figure things out. Ultimately the coaches should have the say so and leave it to them

He did and they are.

Just because they are drafting the QB the you don’t want.  Doesn’t mean it’s automatically Tepper overruling the staff.

I know for Fact that our GM is much higher on said QB than Tep ever was.

Burrow is like 6'3" 220 and tore his ACL his rookie year because of an incompetent OL. Cam Newton was built like a tank and had his career shorted by injuries due to overuse between running and passing, amongst other factors. Any player in the league can suffer a gnarly injury on any snap, it's just the nature of the sport. Where I'm going here is I wonder if frame is as much of an indication on injury risk/longevity as opposed to play style and supporting cast. I swear it feels like Drew Brees never missed one game in his two decade stint with New Orleans.

Thats why you get a pocket passer. Tom Brady didnt get hurt often. Neither did Peyton. Get someone that can deliver the ball accurately and see the field. Get Stroud

I get that Tepper probably hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt on here and to a lot of Panthers fans but I’ve been optimistic about him growing and learning from his mistakes. He messed up with Rhule and course corrected with the great staff we have now.

Also I’m not sure why y’all don’t think Frank and Fitt won’t have final say on the pick when they’ve told us that a million times in the past few weeks.

Because who signs Fitt and Franks checks.

I dont think so man. I feel this is a tepper move. Tepper loved some Bryce but McCown and Reich like Stroud.

Tepper loved Levis too apparently.  But McCown and Reich like Bryce too.

heck I think it’s pretty know that Reich even likes Richardson over Stroud at this point.  Some of you guys fall in love over a 2 min YouTube video way to easily.

Na bro. Ive watched Stroud alot. His footwork and accuracy is lethal. The way he held it down in the GA game without Harrison half the game showed he is ready. He has always been very smooth with his passes and has a great arm. I dont want no magician in the backfield. Magic tricks get found out but you cant stop a accurate pass.

Tepper also loved Fields and we passed on him. He isn’t that type of owner.

Is he really. Do you not look back on what has been done. Rhule, Darnold, Baker just to name a few. He is a great guy from what I know but as long as he has been here, he hasnt produced.  This is probably why he had a half stake of the steelers.

Tepper hired Rhule with Hurney’s help. What makes you think he has anything to do with Darnold or Baker? He tends to let football people make football decisions. Fitt already said Reich and himself have final say in the pick. Anything else is just random fan theories that are mad Carolina isn’t picking their favorite QB prospect.

Okay by that logic all owners meddle because they sign the checks of the people they employ lol. I’ve always gotten the sense that Tepper is active but not overbearing because for all intents and purposes, he let Matt Rhule do whatever the hell he wanted.

Okay but also who’s to say both didn’t love Bryce as well? I think a lot of people read way too much into the pro day interactions because they were public, but we don’t know how the interactions were behind closed doors.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Bryce is a Tepper pick just because it’s not  your (not literally you but in general) preference.

    • It's the groin injury from the Las Vegas game back in October which continues to get re-aggravated every time he takes an awkward hit. Latest is he will likely miss Thursday, but may start skating in the next day or 2.
    • I want the following: LB - Devin Lloyd (our big money splash) I'm also interested in Nakobe Dean if we go the cheaper route. His size is a concern beside Wallace, but Dean is a Dan Morgan type of alpha leader of the defense. He's often called the heart of the Philly defense and would absolutely bring a swagger and be our field general on defense. We need this so badly and I'd almost rather go with him because Wallace is no guarantee to ever hit his potential, so maybe we go with Dean and find a Wallace replacement in on day 2. EDGE - Boye Mafe (SEA) I think he's a great blend of pass rush prowess, age and experience. We have our potential youngsters in Scourton and Umanmielen, let's add a vet from a successful franchise to bring some heat. Bye bye Wonnum....bye bye Jones. We roll with Mafe-Scourton-Umanmielen TE - Cade Otton (TB) Again, we have youth in this position w/ Sanders and Evans. Sanders is tracking similarly to Ian Thomas (age/stats) and wonder if he will ever be the TE we thought we stole in the 4th round. Evans looks legit, but more of a balanced/blocker. Sign Otton, who Dave is familiar with and save some money by cutting Tremble. Also allows us to roll Otton-Sanders-Evans in 13 personnel WR - Wan'dale Robinson or Rashid Shaheed I wonder if either of these will be priced out of our range based on age and what they bring. We do already have a 5'8" WR with Horn, Jr. so I'd see the argument against Robinson. However, the latter is still only 25 and just hit a 1k yard receiving season with suspect QB play in NY and an elite talent in Nabers on the roster. SEA gave up two '26 draft picks for Shaheed and he has stepped in nicely for the 'Hawks...doubt they let him walk. I also saw Doubs on the FA list and wonder if he'd be what we need. We need a separator that can be a deep threat to keep defenses honest. TMac/Coker are the bigger receivers, but not necesarily guys that scare a defense....would Doubs be that guy? SAF I'd like an upgrade here and wonder if we wait out the FA period until the latter stages if someone like Ar'Darious Washington or Jaylinn Hawkins lingers and there's a discount later in the game. Nick Scott can F off and I hope he never suits up for us again.
    • I just can’t see Morgan as being under the threat of unemployment at any time this upcoming season.  As little as ‘winning’ the division and making the playoffs impressed me, I think to Tepper it was like nectar of the Gods. A milestone for him. And the team did play well in the Wild Card. That has to buy him 2027. I would think. Unless we start 0-8 or something. Which I don’t believe will happen.
