One of the "others" he's relying on right now is former Panthers personnel guy Pat Stewart.

Stewart was here when both Smith and Matt Corral were drafted.

I didnt think Zappe looked too terrible and did have some potential that could be developed so I would do it just to have a young QB on the roster as a third.
