I believe they will do well but we must remember that we have brand new coaches that have never worked together before, brand new systems on offense and defenses, and brand new QBs

Its gonna take a little time

the start  of the season might be rough, the middle will show improvement and the end should improve a lot

10 and 7 best and division

7 and 10 worst

Best case:  11-6. Division champs with a home playoff win against whoever the wildcard is. Most likely a second round competitive loss to the Eagles or the Niners.   Chicago gets a pick in the early 20’s.

Worst Case:  5-12. Steep learning curve for Bryce and all the new coaches take some time to gel. A much better product towards the end of the season but a large pile of losses to start the season puts us in too big of a hole. Chicago gets pick number 5 in next years draft.

Go ahead and shake your head.

I'm just saying you shouldn't bank on injuries. Expecting us to not do well because we'll get hurt?

This is where I shake my head and facepalm.

Again, I didn’t say bank on injuries just that we were healthy last year and didn’t really lose anyone until Horn and he was only out 3 games last year. Our depth is terrible. Where is our pass rush without Burns? What does our run D look like without Brown? Do you recall our pass D when Horn missed the last 3 weeks? We aren’t close to the Eagles in DL depth or SF in overall depth.

I was saying that we are really thin and I’d expect more injuries than last year due to regression to the mean. I don’t see any concerns about our depth anywhere. I’m very concerned about it, especially at OL. We haven’t drafted well outside of the 1st the last few years and we’ve been trading away picks like candy. Aside from Young, who I like, those trades have not helped and have hurt our talent level/depth.

Heart: 12-5

Head: 7-10

Nightmare: Bryce suffers a season ending injury and doesn’t like that good before it.
We win 2 games and realize we would have had a chance at a QB this season.

Not a Bryce hater, just FYI. We just need win enough to put us out of the top 5.
