Potential Quarterbacks Available (Thought Hurney could use a Hand)

Culpepper I'd have to think about. As a stopgap, maybe. Though in fairness, he looked pretty bad the last time he was a full time starter.

Had a bum Knee. Just food for thought. I think Culpepper needs the right tools around him to succeed I think we are built for Culpepper actually. Good running game, one of the best deep threats in the game, and a solid D behind him. It gets you thinking.

What brings you to this conclusion? If you offered a 5th or 6th for him I'm sure they'd take it. They (along with it seems everyone else) firmly believe Freeman is the answer. This makes Johnson expendable.

correct, got my Tampa QB names mixed up.

Last time we took a reject QB within our division we got stuck with Delhomme. On other hand I'd love to have Schaub about now

I like how he threw a sh*tfit when they told him at the last minute that Stafford would be able to play on Thanksgiving.

Wouldn't you if you had been practicing with the ones all week and on gameday they sit you? I mean he needs to control when he does it but I'd be just as pissed if that happened to me.

You might be right but if the right player or pick was offered I'm sure they'd take it. It just depends on what he is worth to our FO. I would offer a 5th for him or a depth player (don't know who they'd want) for him but not much more.

I love how everyone mentioned in this thread ain't worth a damn. Give me Matt Moore over any of them.

My sediments exactly.. I'll take Moore, and try to draft a future QB. It is near impossible to get a franchise QB in FA or via trade.. Cutler, Schaub, and Favre are the only one's I can think of in the past 20 years. Those odds are a lot worse than finding one in the draft..

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
