For those of you begging for Cowher

What will you do if Bill Cowher does become the head coach in the offseason and then decides after training camp and pre-season games that Jake Delhomme gives the team the best chance to win? Most, if not all, experienced coaches like having a veteran quarterback. As bad as Delhomme has played, coaches respect the fact that he has playoff experience and been to the super bowl. So really, before you start more threads on Bill Cowher, decide whether what you really want is a new QB or a new coach, cause more likely than not we are only going to get one of those.

I think if JR would allow Jake to start next year then Fox will still be here too.

It could happen. Cowher stuck with Kordell Stewar for several years, and Jake was better than him (until this year).

Maybe the question should be...What would you think? We're stuck w/ Fox and Delhomme and there's nothing we can DO about it. Even if Fox gets fired Delhomme will still be here (I believe). And I'm sure a new coach will have a competition and he will choose a starter. And then we'll either like it or we won't and can DO nothing.

Tommy Maddox too. And from what I can recall the ownership decided to draft Big Ben rather than Cowher (he was against it).

this franchise was awesome when it signed a retired head coach with a good winning percentage (George Seifert) and later when it started a rooke qb (Chris Weinke).
