Brees is the largest part, but the whole team is contributing. Our run game has been solid and our WR corps is really really solid. Shockey has picked it up and so has the O-line. So yes, Brees is HUGE for us, but to say a team would go from 13-0 to 5-8...c'mon man. You think if you had Brees you would be what 10-2 right now? Is that what you are saying?

If we had Brees yes, I believe we would be >10-2, easily. Especially with our run game to match his pass game.

And yes you would definitely be <5-8 with Delhomme...you have seen Delhomme play right? You might want to rethink this one, especially cause the unit Brees isn't on (the saintsndefense) really sucks, how are you going to lose when Brees puts up 30+ points?

Everybody is playing solid cause they know Brees is going to be solid. With a perfect QB people look good. Then they start to try harder cause its easier to look even better.

1. You don't have the receiving corps to fully accommodate Brees. Take Smith away, you have the worst corps in the league.

2. Your play calling doesn't lend itself to have Brees be as nearly as sucessful. See an ultra talented Cutler in Chicago.

3. Your defense hasn't been consistent enough for the type of ball you play. I know Jake has sucked, but Jake doesn't play D. You can't blame him for everything.

So take your homer glasses off please and be a little objective. Peace out.

1. We don't need WR's, we are a running/defense team and always have been. We have NEVER really had more than Smith WR.

2.I am not referring to coaching of any kind, but your point only supports my stance in that our coaching makes us suck more than the players them self.

3. Our defense isn't consistent because for the first 10 games they were on the field 85% of the time, and Peppers was intentionally slacking. Jake doesn't play D but he makes sure their on the field the whole time, what kind of influence is that for a defense? Also we have a new coordinator, so this area AGAIN would have to deal with our coaching staff, something I am not comparing.

Take away the injuries from both teams. Give them both great play calls and preparation. The Saints with Delhomme and the Panthers with Brees. You will have a 10-2 panthers and 5-8 Saints.

So please stop creating your own objective. Obviously our team is better and the others' sucks in both our minds, but to say Brees isn't 80% of what is happening to the Saints, your blind. No your right it must be the incredible Saints defensive squad, the unit Brees isn't on...the Saints defense is going to prevent them from going to the super bowl. Watch.

Me? I never said anything of the sort. I think Brees is the most important cog, and without him the Saints would score 10 less points per game, but they are 13-0 right now because they signed Gregg Williams to change their defense.
