Bill Cowher not coming to Carolina

1. You're right, but fact remains I was the only one here with that info and, as usual, I was proven correct.

2. Again, HIPPA says I can't say crap without risking my certification and the credentials of my sources. Not a risk worth taking to satisfy the likes of you.

3. Credibilty is often used in leau of proof, it's kind of it's nature.

4. Shooting a round basketball with a broken finger and playing WB in the NFL where a measure of precision and accuracy is required are two completely different animals.

You're going to have to dig a little deeper man. However, I don't care if you believe me, the truth will be known shortly and I'm confident that my information, again as usual, will be correct.

If you have nothing to do, other than half witted attempts at disproving speculation based your extensive knowledge perhaps you should find a hobby, or buy a dog. Being the malcontent you are will only lead you to ruin.

Don't really understand the big deal on the veracity of Joat's thread.

He's started 12 threads in the last year, 3 of them relating to the Panthers.

Move on people.

Cowher wants complete control. Jones will never give it to him.

Not necessarily. He gave it to Parcells.

When Parcells failed to produce a playoff win, Jones took an attitude of "that wasn't any better, let's go back to my way". But now "his way" has been getting the same results it always did.

There were voices within the Cowboys that convinced him to go the Parcells route. Good chance those same voices are speaking out again.

About a month ago a woman came to my house to purchase something I had for sale. We got to talking and turns out she was Cowher's sister. She assured me he was returning to coaching but doubted it would be in Carolina. Not sure how relevant this is but thought it was interesting.

Not sure I believe this, did she spit when she talked?

Let me just throw this into the mix.....I remember when a certain coach, (let's refer to him as "The Old Ball Coach") was seen playing golf with JR, was seen at BoA with team officials, was spotted uptown dining with the "Big Cats" inter circle, and we end up with Fox as coach....not to discredit JOATs post; I'm saying we will not know until it happens.

Yeah, that's the only part that makes this hard for me to believe. Of course, Bill Parcells was a big time coach who liked to have complete control when he took that job too though, so who knows?

And he built a good team, like usual, only to get fired for Wade Philips of all people, and they've sucked ever since. It would make sense that Cower would be interested in the job and that Jones would initially be interested in the hire. If it does happen, though, it won't last. They'll be at each other's throats within two years.

    • Just as we won those close games we could have just as easily lost them. So the jury is out on if we were more lucky than good ( see the sweep by the saints) Were moving forward on paper. And how badly dont we all want to see us back to at least Above average form. Its about time.
    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
