Source:GM Hurney and coach Fox are likely to keep their jobs in 2010.

With coaching vacancies expected in Cleveland, Washington and Oakland, there is a big question about what will happen in Carolina. One source thinks coach John Fox and GM Marty Hurney, who each have a year left on their contracts, will keep their jobs. “I think [owner Jerry] Richardson would like to get rid of them, but I’m not sure he wants to pay off the $6 million he owes them.”

Damn. $6 million is one hell of a buyout. Why can't Fox do the honorable thing and resign or "break" his finger?

hahahahahahahhaha :out:

like any of us would say no to 6 million because someone wanted us to quit our jobs.

I dont care if I am the worst person ever at doing my job. There is no way I would quit and lose that money.

I think just the opposite. It might cost JR more money to keep Fox here. The Panthers will lose millions alone on concessions at the stadium if Fox is back.

One would hope.

This is the double edge of the PSL.

Stadium sells out reguardless. Thats upwards of 300-400 million right thar.

and how many fans have the football sense and desire to NOT buy beers and food in the stadium in an act of defiance.

I agree the money for selling the tickets will be there no matter what due to the PSL and the the fans at the game will still buy stuff. I am referring to the 30,000+ not even showing up. That hit alone at the concessions will probably be more than 6 million by itself.

    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
