So the coaches called plays to see how well bryce can take sacks from multiple directions.  Ok got it.

Superbowl !

The O-line protection issues are something I think people could legitimately point to as an issue that could translate to the regular season games. They absolutely have to get that cleaned up and I’d like to be optimistic and believe they will.

The play calling and stuff however, idk man. They’ve told us over and over that they aren’t running the stuff we’ll see in season. Frank has said it, Thomas has said it, and Bryce admitted it in the pressers last night. Now if the plays/play calls look similar week one then hey, we can have a discussion. But right now when they aren’t game planning to beat certain looks and coverages, idk if I can get too worked up about it.

Well if he doesn't make it to regular season and it's Jordans fault, I'll be coming to you for answers. Furthermore, of Icky gives it up I will also want answers, put him at guard til he knows what he is doing! Don't play Bryce another down if you call this growing pains, let hom get another QB buried!

"We want answers" is apparently back 😕

You keep believing preseason don’t mean anything

It never has.

Hell, given the changes made in the past few years, if anything it means even less today than it did before.

Different expectations as well. I never expected the Panthers to be good this year. Ironically, most of y’all did. Apples to Oranges.

And we all expect goofy takes from you. Glad to see that hasn't changed.

I never saw the appeal of rooting for a team you think sucks? Talk about a waste of time. Lifes too short to waste time on something that makes me miserable.

It's times like this that make the Huddle so much fun to read.

There were even goofier takes last year.  And the year before that.

and some people nailed it.  Folks like you did a lot of moaning and groaning at the crowd that ended up calling it pretty close.

Mr Scott. Just curious have you been a Panther fan since 95'?  Some of us know we could have ran this organization better over the last 3 decades. It's preseason and why don't you have the job people are short sighted ignoramuses.

Since before, actually. I was following when the team was announced.

I've been a football fan since 1972. Hell, when I was a kid they played six preseason games. Later on, they cut it down to four, then a few years ago to three. The league is looking to cut it down even further, and general belief is that they will.

Through all that time, preseason / exhibition or whatever else they were called, they've always been about player evaluation, nothing more.

Hell, these games probably mean less now than they ever did.

Ive has my disagreements with Mr. Scott but that’s a bush league move, asking him how long he’s been a fan because he’s not worried about preseason because you have that low of self esteem.

I swear Panther fans are the most entitled and crybaby fan base on the internet sometimes, we could win the super bowl and some of y’all would still b*tch we have no first round pick.

Fair enough! First game I actually remember was Montana to Clark. What a nice memory. First Bball memory was Jordans 16 footer in the championship. My favorite sports year was the next with N.C. State with 5 packa tacka against 5 slama jama. Can still name the starting 5. When everyone else grew up to hate the other I found solace in rooting for all of our state teams, even Duke n Wake. Made life a lot more fun.

? Um, okay. Not sure what you are trying to say here? Do you catalog goofy posts, or are yo just going off memory? Or is it just from experience that you know goofy takes have been around for a while.

There are literally a poo ton of folks on here. I'm shocked, shocked I say that a couple people got things pretty close. lol

And lol at "moaning and groaning". It's your favorite activity. You are in every thread bemoaning something or other. You are one of the most negative posters we have. But you're on record with saying you are a notorious pot stirrer.

I was in high school (and a 49er fan at the time) when The Catch happened. I think I jumped about as high as Clark did 😃

My first football memory is of The Immaculate Reception. I was five and my family had the game on at my grandma's house. Saw that play happen and was like "What is this?"

Fifty years later, I've played, I've coached, I've studied...hell, my wife gets me books on coaching and scouting for Christmas.

And in all of it, I've learned...

... patience.

Said elsewhere: It's a marathon, not a sprint. The team you see today will likely beat little to no resemblance to the one you see in December.

That's why rushing to judgment is a mistake.

I knew Mr. Scott was a veteran, just wanted to make sure he had sat threw all of our pain. You most likely a teen in the Cam Super Bowl.

    • Sure, but if that happens, the draft pick will look even worse for the Falcons, as instead of getting them a player that could win now, they took someone who ran off their prize FA QB after 3 years and now looks like they may be a bust. Penix was one of the more polished QB's in the draft and would have probably been a rookie starter if taken by someone with an uncertain starting QB, if he's not ready to step in and play well in year 3, then it's probably not going to work out.
