Thanks for reminding me Cam had Shockey too.  Smith, Olsen and Shockey.  Yeah, that's close to the receiving core Young has.

This receiving corps is not nearly as bad as people are framing it to be.  What I saw most of the game week 1, as well as the preseason was a lot of shitty, lazy concepts too.  I thought we were gonna get a lot of motion and creativity to free guys up off route combos versus route running, and nope...  it looked like a lot of the same poo we had under Rhule.  Now, this isn't Smitty, Olsen, Shockey, but it's not the burning trash heap that people are trying to make it out to be.  There were a lot of plays to be had even with the shitty play design and calling, and Bryce still didn't hit the right guys enough.  Period.

Watch JT's breakdown. He's open a lot.

That is just 15 plays. I watched it again and this was what I saw.

Play 1: Open

Play 2: Open

Play 3: Debatable. Gets open on the QB scramble. Would have been a tough throw to hit. Bryce made the better choice going where he did.

Play 4: Not open

Play 5: Open but he is gonna get obliterated for virtually no gain. Hospital ball if he throws it.

Play 6: Not in the play.

Play 7: Not in the play.

Play 8: Not open.

Play 9: Not open.

Play 10: Not open.

Play 11: Open but this should have been a TD to the guy he throws it to. Bryce made the right read.

Play 12: Not open.

Play 13: Not open.

Play 14: Not open when Bryce throws.

Play 15: Open and catch.

If that is your logic, why would anyone trust McCown to be a QB coach? He didn't do poo in the NFL.

I guess we should have Brett Favre instead?

Really?

17 games vs 102

145 attempts vs 2633

Career PS and Backup vs Legit NFL Starter (albeit not a great one)

8 years in and out of the league vs 18 years in the leage

Retired HS coach vs an NFL coach

Yeah I totally see how thats a solid comparison

Well he is barely an NFL player, TBQH.

He is a bust, plain and simple.

He has studied more film professionally than any person on this site. Bust or not, he has LOTS of experience watching and studying film. Far more than almost anything else you will find youtube.

I like his breakdowns but he definitely carries a lot of bias. If it was a QB he already had a negative opinion about he would've skewered him for throwing late across the middle and just absolutely trashed him for making the same mistake twice in one game leading to INTs both times. Not to mention bashing him for missing Thielen wide open multiple times. That's still baffling to me. Thielen was getting wide open often, Bryce wasn't throwing him the ball, and JT bashes Thielen for this? Wild.

It wasnt the same mistake twice though. Was it the same route? Yes. Was it basically the same position on the field? Yes. But completely, entirely different circumstances. Both were mistakes, but they weren't the same mistake twice, unless you just mean "threw an int" broadly.

Both were late throws across the middle with a safety lurking. Exact same? No. Extremely similar? Absolutely.

76 starts in 15 seasons? 23-53 record? That's a legit starter?

The point being the assertion that you have to be an NFL HOFer to understand how to play QB is pretty stupid. Like, extremely stupid.

This dude played in as many games as Jaycee Horn and he is supposed to be some guru?

Lots of knowledgeable folks don't have the physical ability to do. How many great coaches were great players? Hell, Bill Belichick will tell anyone that will listen that lacrosse is his true passion.

I do respect the long-term backup QBs. You gotta prepare every week as if you're the starter because on any given play you might be the starter, but the vast majority of the time You're not going to play. It takes a pretty high level of dedication to do that week in and week out for years.

Anyone who gets 76 starts at QB in the NFL is legit.  Doesnt mean they are any better than average and definitely not HOF bound but you dont get that many shots if you dont have a minimum set of skills that say you deserve to be there.

Fair points re: lots of good to great coaches were not pro-bowlers.

This guy has gotten a fair amount of mentions 'round here as of late and I was just expecting someone with a more impressive CV than what I found when I looked.

But in the end he is just some jabroni with a web cam who gave up coaching high school and never coached in a major college program or the NFL and spent 8 years bouncing from practice squad to practice squad with one brief run as a backup and starter.

Tie that in with the clearly personal biases and I dont find him credible.

I think he's credible. He's certainly spent a ton of time breaking down film with NFL coaches and sitting through QB room meetings in the NFL. I do think his biases are getting in the way though. I enjoy his breakdowns for the most part, this was just the worst one I've seen though to be fair I've probably only watched maybe 8-10 of his breakdowns so in all fairness he could potentially have a lot of bad ones.

I don't understand why he would have a specific bias against Theilen. They have never been on the same team.

Maybe he just doesn't like him as a player?

    • What is GlucoBerry? The GlucoBerry dietary supplement is a cutting-edge product that promotes healthy blood sugar levels. Dr. Mark Weis partnered with MD/Process to create this unique nutritional supplement using a novel approach to holistic health management. The supplement contains a specific combination of natural components, including premium Maqui berry extract, Chromium, Biotin, and Gymnema leaf, all known for their potential benefits in supporting blood sugar regulation and overall well-being. Each bottle of GlucoBerry contains thirty capsules, which is enough for one month’s supply. The supplement is designed to support the body’s natural processes regulating blood sugar, improving the efficiency of the Blood Sugar Drain efficiency and maintaining stable glucose levels. By including GlucoBerry in your daily routine, you can take preventative measures to reach optimal blood sugar health and support your body’s efforts to maintain a healthy balance. This will enable you to take advantage of proactive initiatives. How GlucoBerry Works GlucoBerry is a product that regulates blood sugar with the help of its primary components, which work together in a synergistic combination. One of the vital components of this product is the extract of maqui berries, a potent antioxidant-rich fruit well-known for its ability to stabilize the blood sugar drain. This component helps manage type 2 diabetes by clearing excess glucose from the bloodstream and promoting average blood sugar fitness. Chromium and biotin are two essential elements that enhance the body’s insulin response, and GlucoBerry contains both these minerals and the Maqui berry extract. Combining these minerals transports excess sugar from the bloodstream to the kidneys, eliminating it via the Blood Sugar Drain, thus maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. Gymnema leaf is another vital component of GlucoBerry that has been traditionally used in various diabetes formulations and dietary supplements that target blood sugar levels. Gymnema leaf helps regulate blood sugar in multiple ways, contributing to the overall effectiveness of GlucoBerry in promoting balanced glucose levels. The product enhances the performance of the blood sugar drain. It encourages glucose regulation, providing a holistic approach to managing blood sugar and assisting individuals in reaching and maintaining optimal blood sugar health.   GlucoBerry Ingredients The premium formula of the Glucoberry supplement is meticulously designed to support balanced blood sugar levels and overall wellness. It utilizes a unique combination of high-quality components that act together in a synergistic manner. Each ingredient is chosen based on its demonstrated efficacy and safety profile, guaranteeing that users will receive the most possible benefits. GlucoBerry Benefits GlucoBerry has several potential benefits that can positively impact your health and well-being. The primary advantage of using GlucoBerry is that it may help control high blood sugar levels, which can significantly benefit those with diabetes or other blood sugar problems. Additionally, GlucoBerry may help reduce fats, which is essential for overall health. Here are some of the ways that GlucoBerry may benefit your health: Supports insulin production: GlucoBerry contains chromium, which can help optimize insulin synthesis and enhance its effectiveness within the body. This, in turn, facilitates healthy glucose management. Effective glucose regulation: The maqui berry extract in GlucoBerry can help regulate glucose levels by enhancing glucose outflow, eliminating excess glucose through urine, and generating more glucose receptors for better glucose transport. May clear blood sugar drain: GlucoBerry’s natural components may help clean the blood sugar drain, cleanse the kidneys, and remove excess sugar from the body. These capsules may also unclog the grey substance that causes high blood sugar, which can be dangerous for the body and even affect the kidneys and heart. It may help to release fats from the body: GlucoBerry capsules may help burn extra fat, reduce obesity, and stop the accumulation of fat, making you look young and attractive. Made with all-natural ingredients: The production of GlucoBerry does not involve using any artificial chemicals, additives, gluten, or creatures that have recently undergone genetic modification. The manufacturers, headquartered in the United States, place a high priority on quality, ensuring that the supplement does not contain any fake ingredients and maintains normal glucose levels. Reduces sugar cravings: The maqui berry extract in GlucoBerry helps maintain glycemic control, reducing sugar cravings and preventing excessive consumption of carbohydrates and sweet meals. Right Dosage Suggestion for GlucoBerry For best results, one capsule of GlucoBerry daily with food is recommended. To experience the benefits of the capsule throughout the day, it is advisable to take it in the morning. As each person’s body reacts differently, outcomes may vary. Some users may notice an improvement in their energy levels within a few days, while others may see the long-term benefits of improved blood sugar regulation after several weeks or months have passed. To achieve the best possible results, it is essential to follow the dosage instructions that come with the product, maintain a healthy diet, and engage in regular physical exercise. Before starting to use GlucoBerry, it is crucial to consult a healthcare expert, just like with any other dietary supplement. This is especially important if you have any pre-existing health concerns, are pregnant or nursing, or are taking any medications. Monitoring your blood sugar levels regularly and informing your healthcare practitioner of any significant changes is essential to ensure that you use GlucoBerry safely and effectively. Cons Individual Results May Vary: While many people have used GlucoBerry and seen positive effects, individual results may vary depending on their food, lifestyle, and overall health condition. • His best half of football all season.  Sadly, that's pretty much his best highlight reel if you were to choose one game.
    • Houston is not what I would call a "gaudy metropolis." There is only one area in Texas that fits that description and it's Dallas/Forth Worth. Houston is quite a bit dingier/dirtier by comparison, IMO. Also, Houston has a VERY large footprint and so despite being a significantly larger city than CLT it typically doesn't feel more densely populated than CLT in the downtown area(sometimes it feels less so on foot).  In general it's not a fair comparison because Houston metro is about 2.5 times the size of Charlotte metro. It doesn't take much in terms of support there to keep a team afloat.
