The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation's web site explains that the organization "is dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children and ending the cycle of abuse." The group "raise public awareness and support child abuse prevention with our radio public service announcements."

The web site also explains that the recipient of the award "exemplify commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage," that the recipient "symbolizes professionalism, great strength, and dedication," that the recipient is a "community role model," and that the recipient "will be identified as a team player in helping abused children and families in crisis."

How is Vick any of these? I mean he has done a satisfactory job of not murdering dogs and hasn't gotten a single felony.

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
