Moore Bandwagon

If we don't go after Vick which we never will for obvious reasons, we would have to draft someone. The FA class of 2010 QB's is not good. So Moore would be our guy and we would get someone in the draft.

Just curious Dan, who do you still talk to on the team? Also, what is your opinion on Hurney as GM?

Troy Smith showed a lot of potential in last years preseason when he beat out Joe Flacco, so he might be worth bringing in to compete for the job. But whether we sign him, Vick or any other free agent I still feel that we need to draft a QB because I don't think any of the available FAs are franchise, long term solutions.

Let's call it like it is. Giants LB's and Secondary are all scrubs and backup players. You can't sit here and tell me after 3 or 4 games that this guy is the answer, that's just crazy. It is alot different pressure being a starter all year long as appose to the last 4 games. I will not buy into Moore until he is a starter from camp all the way to game 4 of next year and produces.

Hi, Hater.

Who do you see in the draft that we could possibly get that is a "franchise, long term solution"

Don't stay quiet Dan. I want an intelligent rubbutal instead of baseless opinion. You are supposed to be a football analysis. You go on the radio. You are a former player. You are supposed to have access to better information than us. Instead all I've seen is "we need Vick to bring excitement to this team", threads started when we are dominating that are dismissing what Moore has been doing, and things of the such without anything to back that statement up.

You can make better cases for other young QBs in the league than just basing it on "excitement". You can make a case for Kevin Kolb and the good job he did when McNabb was out. Or Shaun Hill for how well he played last year up till Alex Smith was named starter. Or Jason Campbell for improving completion percentage, TDs, Yards per attempt, Yards per game, and QB rating each year he's been in the league. All those 3 are better QBs than Vick. Vick has already shown he is a poor QB. Why do you want him? We already have 4 RBs that run better than him, we dont need him for running ability. Plus, Moore has already shown he is mobile in the pocket and can run himself.

    • I thought this presented an interesting point. It is fair to wonder now, about switching the two QBs as so many tried to do that first year where Bryce was trash and CJ looked great.  It is almost the reverse scenario now and I wonder what CJ would look like here with better weapons better coaching and better protection. Overall, compared year one.  If each player had been in the other place for the three years. I would love to see CJ with this team now.  Just to see.
    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
    • This makes me wish we took a flyer on Quinn Ewers late in the draft
