We gave up a high 2nd round pick plus 2 more picks for Sam as the Jets GM played Scott by lying they got solid fictitious for him. BS! 49ers got Sam for nothing and the 2nd round we got from them is much lower considering how good a team they are. CMC hasn't lost a single game whenever he has starts for them! And I would NEVER our last playmaker in DJ in a trade to move up nor would any other GM as well. 49ers refused to trade Deebo or Aiyuk to move up for Trey Lance. Scott just don't get it 😞

Unless we cannot afford to keep DJ which was NOT the issue. Da Bears ask for DJ and we said sure...why not Lol

in on every bad deal

He wasn't wrong. We traded our first round pick away next year. A draft that will include Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Taulia (Tua's brother), and a few other potentially big armed dudes.

However I still blame this on Tepper. Tepper wanted a QB and he made damn sure we went out and got one. Our GM is the fall guy.

Scott Fitterer is definitely playing some 4D chess here. It's all about making strategic moves to build a strong team for the future. Trading away that first pick could lead to some exciting opportunities down the road. And hey, speaking of strategic moves, if you ever need to suit up for a special occasion, check out Gentleman's Guru for a range of stylish wedding tuxedos at https://www.gentlemansguru.com/product-category/wedding-tuxedos/. Just like Fitterer, it's all about making the right choices for the big moments!

Drafting was NOT a mistake, every team would have taken Bryce with the top pick including the Texans which they even admitted. Including DJ to trade up is unacceptable which i have even stated when the trade was done. Trading away CMC for a 2nd round and some low picks is MUCH worse. I think we gave up more for a known bust in Sam D (3 seasons on the Jets) when most teams wouldn't offer more than a 4th round for him.

We gave up a bit more value for Darnold and heck we almost gave up as much value for CJ Henderson. Darnold was our higher 2nd round pick (38 and a higher 4th/6th) and Henderson was a high 3rd round pick (70). The 49ers gave us late round picks which totaled a mid round 2nd pick (best pick was 61).

We basically got CJ and Darnold for twice the value we got back for CMC. Here’s the funnier part. We basically used up the same cap space for CJ and Darnold as we would have for 2 years of CMC. SMH, we are stupid.

    • He has made some good throws yes. His arm isn’t great by any professional measure though It might be decent enough, but the poor footwork inhibits it.  So he has to really focus on that and from what I’ve seen he is not consistent.    peace.
    • If only Bryce were 8'1" then CJ wouldn't have needed Woody Marks to carry him against the Titans nor the defense to carry him with 3 picks vs. Cooper Rush. If he were a real QB, he'd have thrown for over 250yds and the Texans wouldn't be 2-3. /s See? I can do the same dumb, lame poo that y'all do. Doesn't this make the board a better experience overall? 🙂
    • Their defense is on track to be worse than ours last year. Their run D is in the bottom half but their pass D is horrible.    32nd overall D, 32nd passD, 23rd rush D We are going to have to throw the ball against them, which means down field where they are vulnerable. Problem is Turnover Fred struggles to push the ball down the field and we have the 26th ranked pass offense. Running will help but will have to beat them through the air. On the flip side, Dallas’ offense is awesome.    1st overall, 3rd pass, 8th run.    But Evero’s defense is ranked 12th right now with the pass D around 10th and rush D around 14th.    If we can take care of the football (looking at Bryce) and we make plays down the field (also looking at Bryce) we can win, yes.
