STHU about J. Stew, here and forevermore

Jonathan Stewart is a men among men, and you had better start thinking of him like the beast that he is. So many of you have tried to insinuate that he couldn't carry the load, and that he is good back, while D. Will is a great one.

Well, I am here to tell you that Jonathan Stewart is a great back. He has shown it time and time again.

That second run against New Orleans was just pure speed, through and through.

Looked like Deangelo, plus a 6th gear.

sell high, we should trade one if we can get a high 1st rounder. look, both are great backs, but we could use a top 10 pick to fill holes elsewhere and even missing d will, we have a good backup in sutton, and a good 3rd down back (atleast as a reciever) in goodson. same would be true if we moved stewie and not d will.

No. No NO NO NO NO. Why trade the only thing that consistently works for our offense? RB's are a dime a dozen, their value is low and won't get anything valuable enough to warrant a trade.

if you dont get top 10, dont trade. its that simple. you are making my point too; if you get a top 10 pick and rbs are a dime a dozen, why not take it? you would be getting the better end of the deal.

I don't know if Stewart could handle a full season of carries without someone like Dwill to take the pressure off. I still think he's injury prone.

I also still think DWill deserves the #1 spot and has shown that time and time again.

Apparently, Stewart's Achilles started bothering him again this game in fact.

Stewart is awesome, but he's got durability issues. He's battled nagging type injuries since he entered the league. Why shoot yourself in the foot for an unknown, when you know exactly what you get with Williams/Stewart. You get the best RB tandem in the league, hands down. You don't toss that out of the window.

I concur. Keeping them fresh with taking turns is one of the important thing of keeping our rushing attacks fresh & winning games. Period.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
