Peppers inspired again?

I think it has more to do with Peppers having his broken hand healed. But Im sure having a offence playing much better certaintly helps.

I agree this is the more likely case. His motivation must have coincidentally vanished at the same time his hand broke. Obviously that doesn't mean having a better QB wouldn't lift anyone's spirit.

Everyone has acted like Peppers is a slacker. Obviously, if he doesn't want to be here, he's not going to play as hard. But, on the other side of things, he's not necessarily lazy either.

I think both the hand and the QB situation has inspired him (especially the QB situation).

I've been saying it and telling you all since before last offseason...

Pep ain't going anywhere...

You're dead to me if Pep is gone. :P

But I sure hope he'll come back. He can be mysterious sometime that we don't know what he is thinking. And I doubt having Moore is why he may come back if he does. I mention from the beginning that getting Meeks & him installing a new defensive plan is why. That & he is good friend with Beason, that maybe he has a talk with him & he will come back if he does because of that. :)

I was gonna post a thread with the quote from Gantt's article about teammates being optimistic. I'm believing that he's gonna sign a long-term deal with us...

Seeing what we did with Matt Moore in there, and seeing how Pep's whole demeanor changed after that, I think it's 70/30 he comes back. Especially with Beason making quotes like that...

And I was going to mention that after his INT, the crowd erupted and he acknowledged it and then when the cameras went to him on the sideline he was smiling ear to ear and actively laughing, talking, and dapping up teammates. I don't ever remember seeing him that engaged with teammates, EVER. He looked like he was really enjoying himself.

Also, someone mentioned a couple weeks back, on one of those deep throws to Smitty (I think it was Moore's 2nd start and a TD throw), Pep ran from the sidelines and was laughing, smiling, and cheering Moore as he was coming back to the sidelines...

You could see why he might enjoy coming back. The core group on this team has a chance to be really special, especially the defense, then throw in Double Trouble and Smitty still has about 4-5 good years left.

i think peppers was listening to his agent too much and you know him being a quiet guy he was probably just going with the flow last year..he might come to see that he doesn't really want to leave no matter what his crazy agent wants him to do..

and i'm sure delhommerception didn't help either..

LOL

Don't be so mad if something were to happen... I mean, it is a business and a lot of things are up in the air this offseason...

That said, the general feeling I get is that it's a done deal and it's just a matter of writing it all up...

Sad commentary if the QB dictates how Peppers performs on the defensive side of the ball.

Pepper's play recently is more indicative of the contract he wants next year me thinks.

Not everything is dictated by money, especially not when you are rich already.

I loved when he tossed the ball about fifty yards into the opposite end zone after his interception. That was his last play I think. He had so much passion the last few home games, sometimes actually interacting with the crowd which was cool.

I feel like that's the last time we see him.

At least good memories to go by, right?
