Mike Vick needs to be in Carolina?

But, but, but our drinking buddies will pick on us for having a "thug" QB. Oh the horror! We'll be the laughing stock of the league! Saying no to Vick will make us look just as good as having a Lombardi! NFL fans everywhere will be like "how bout those Carolina Panthers...never had to back to back winning seasons but they never handed the reigns to a ***** and proclaimed him the "future". What an elite organization!" Think of the respect our franchise will gain!

MadHater is all about status quo and conservatism. Winning football games is secondary.

I am basing my dislike for Vick based on his play. He was NEVER a good passing QB. He was a gimmick. He is now older and that gimmick is gone.

As for never having back to back winning seasons.....Vick and the Falcons never had back to back winning seasons with him under center.

I could care less what color a player is. If he makes us better, I am all for it. Vick is not the answer here.

I would draft or sign a black QB in a second if he had the skill set to make our team better. Vick does not.

Unlike you...you could care less about his ability. All you see is color. You are the only one here who cares what color our QB is....and that makes you our village racist.

I know what it feels like to root for and believe in a coach or QB a different race from me. I have for 15 years. You dont clown. If anybody is the village racist its you. I dont go in Colt McCoy or whomever threads with the single goal of demonizing white QBs. Thats you. You appear in every black QB related thread with your pitchfork and rifle in hand. LOL. Oh, there are alot of differences between you and me.

1. I don't blame every bad thing that happens on "The Man"....I hold myself accountable for my own successes and failures. You blame everything bad that happens to a black person on the shite race....

2. I could care less what color someone's skin is. The best person for the job...plain and simple. That goes for business, sports, etc... You ONLY care what color a person's skin is.

3. You belittle the Panthers organziation because they won't bring in a sub-par QB to run this team. Vick has a terrible completion %, terrible QB rating, has never had back to back winning seasons, etc...

4. However, you sing the praises of a Bobcats FO that has NEVER put a winning team on the court in its existence. If the Bobcats were not owned by a minority, you would be bitching about them as well.

You have shown in every post that everything is about race to you. You can try and spin it anyway you like. However, everyone here sees through it....you are a racist plain and simple.

You call people racist here who would bring in McNabb....or Garrard...etc just because they see Vick for what he is. A sub-par passing QB...always has been and always will be.

We don't want Vick because he is not a good QB....you want Vick here because he is a black QB.

That is the difference between you and me.

I am not arguing....I am just calling a racist a racist.

Anyone who knows me knows that I could care less about a person's race. Never have and never will.

However, I do take exception to somone screaming racism for every excuse...while their own arguement is based on nothing but their own racism.

Carolina needs a play maker and a leader. Someone who can uplift the team and carry it on his back when time its time to do it with his arm. Mike Vick, though flashy and fun, does it with his feet and is not what we are looking for. We need a quarterback, not a gimmick. Even his high points that we all know and love have diminished, and being that he wasn't the most accurate qb before how much help do you think he'd really be for the team?

And as far as the black qb thing goes... I'd rather trade Seattle for Seneca Wallace that to sign Vick... Seriously

I love and believe in black quarterbacks and know (as well as 2 time Super Bowl champion Jimmy Johnson and pro bowl LBer Dan Morgan) that Michael Vick would make the Panthers a better and much more relevant football team.

when did Dan say that?

      Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!

      Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.

      OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
