NFC: One and Doners

Rank the three NFC Teams you most want to see knocked out in their first game in the playoffs.

Mine:

1. Falcons

- Don't want to face them. I'm sick of hearing about Matt Ryan. Falcons lose, the Panthers get either the Cards or the Vikings, and the media is forced to shut up about Ryan.

2. Vikings

- Don't want to face them. They lose, Giants get the Eagles, who probably have a better chance of knocking off the Giants than any other lower seed.

3. Giants

- I'd like to see the NFC Championship Game be played in Charlotte. I couldn't care less about a "rematch" against them. I'd much rather have a home NFC Championship Game. But wherever the game is played, I think the Panthers match up better against the Giants than they do with the Vikings (Peterson) or Falcons (Ryan and Turner), so they're third on my list.

It may seem like a "no brainer," but this question actually requires strategic thinking.

I want to see the Giants taken out soon so we can possibly get another playoff game at home. I think our best chances of advancing to the Superbowl this year are going to be if we continue to win at home. I'd like to see the Falcons gone as well. Tired of hearing about Matt Ryan too. The Falcons aren't a great team unless they are in the dome anyways. Other than those two I'd have to say Minnesotta.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
