Embedding works, you just have to be patient. Make sure you wait for the tweet to load before you hit submit:

To share a link from the twitter app itself, go to the post itself instead of sharing from the timeline. Sharing from the timeline gives you an 'x' link, whereas sharing from the post itself gives you a 'twitter' link.

I don't have the app but it's what a friend of mine told me he had to do on discord.

Also, If it doesn't load or loads slowly, try cutting and pasting as plain text.

I've just taken to taking a screenshot and posting the photo. It's quicker than waiting on the tweet to load.

Isn’t it that X links don’t work but twitter does? I thought that’s the whole issue.

Interesting. Even in his screenshot it’s a twitter link, not X. Folks who paste the X links have been the loudest about it not working.

X links might be another issue but twitter links you have to wait for it to embed now for sure or you'll get just the link posted. Usually 5 seconds and it's good. I don't even know how you get x links, my url is twitter regardless of what i type into the address bar

Pretty sure the x posters are getting them from the app, whereas I am copying and pasting from a PC.

Here's a link where I clicked on "Share Via" rather than "Copy Link". It didn't embed...

So if you click the Share icon in the lower right, you want to choose the "Copy Link" option to make sure it comes out in the right format.
