Dalton is a former pro bowl vet with 10+ years experience.. Of course he is going to look better and know what to do in this situation.. BY is a rookie starting his 12 game of his career.. He has no experience playing behind this terrible Oline or with this lack of surrounding cast..

The Dalton game was certainly better but he wasn’t exactly “wow”. He definitely throws a better back shoulder ball and had clear command of the offense.
This year definitely has the feel of last years “let Russ cook” disaster in Denver. The ineptitude of that offense with much better skill players was a bigger failure than Carolina this year

They have been making excuses for Bryce his entire career.  I'm tired of hearing it

Excuses really?? Do you know BY history.. Obviously you don’t.. Maybe do some research on his credentials before posting.. He was highly rated for a reason since HS..

Ppl just need to accept that this just isn’t our year..
The places we thought we were good at we aren’t and injured..(Oline, Seondary)  BY isn’t a savior and might needed to sit.. The coaching staff isn’t as god sent as we thought..  And the stuff we thought would be a problem is a bigger problem then we thought..

On the bright side, everyone wrote off the Broncos disaster as a terminal illness and worst trade ever, and they look halfway decent this year.

A lot of you got fooled by Cam being as good as he was.. Reality is most rookie struggle in good situations.. Put any rookie behind this Oline with these weapons.. You’re not seeing much better..

even Meh with 10+ experience is better then a rookie who has been blasted all season..

Cam was a once in a generation phsyical specimen and established winner when we drafted him. Let's leave him out of this.

At the end of the day the QB we picked is performing the worst out of the draft class. Are there moving parts and some coaching contributing? Certainly. But you guys need to stop saying any of the other rookies would be one of the worst QB's in the league with this same situation because no one can know that. And with someone like Stroud AR or Levis defenses would have to account for their physical talent and arm strength any given play. None of these defenses are scared of Bryce Young's arm my guy. That's the truth of the matter.

Usually a bad thing occurs because of unfortunate circumstances. However, if the same bad thing happens time and time again, there tends to be a common denominator.  Granted we are banged up and are lacking robust play makers.  Nobody would dispute that.

That said, here's where I'm at:

-Good QB play can operate efficiently in a vanilla offense.

-Bad QB play can't thrive even in the most dynamic offensive scheme.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
