Is Sweat at least more of a pass rusher? We already got some primarily run stuffing DTs and that's pretty high to pick yet another one

I think so. I think the biggest thing for me is just having the most powerful DL in the league. If we go 3 wide, we've got the greatest most exhausting rotation in the league. If we get those 4 on the line together then good luck to any OL trying to stop or contain them.

And then adding Jonah Ellis is just another facet to it all. If you win in the trenches, then do everything you can to give you the most strength there.

I'm a fan of the idea that you not only make your OL and DL the most powerful in the league, but then every year you add to it or at least try to refresh it. One we've got both set, then use the draft as a way to keep it fresh.

I don't think we've got a dominant OL yet, but the interior is getting there. My only complaint with that draft up there is I didn't address center.

Not sure if JPJ falls to 33, probably not, but, if he does, you just about have to turn in the card with his name on it.  It's more a visceral feeling but I keep coming back to the thought that we have to take one of the available centers that are starter capable by 65.  Would love for them to sit a year behind Corbett but I don't think we can count on Corbett's health and I'm not ready to rely on Cade Mays as the backup at C.  If Morgan has Tepper's blessing to treat this as a true multi-year rebuilding process, then maybe Morgan is content to have Mays as the backup in 2024.

Frazier, SVP or Bortolini at 65, whichever is still there works.  In full disclosure, I haven't looked at these three for fit in the new wide zone scheme so, someone can correct me here if they have.  Thanks!

Post Clowney pickup. Powers Johnson keeps dropping to R2 in this simulator for some reason but I really don't expect him to make it past the Cowboys and Eagles.

I can really get behind this draft.  If Pearsall or Ellis are there are 101, it would be hard to pass them up.

Ok, the more I think about this one the more I like it.

I like what it adds to the defense. Make that defensive  front even more dominant and a good corner who can hang with any WR in this draft.

We also  get a center prospect with some upside, we get a good versatile RB (there were about 4 good choices there) and we get a reliable receiver, a big play receiver, and a do it all receiver.

I think one thing I really like about Sweat is he gives us an option if things don't work out with keeping Brown.

Im glad you arent our GM LOL. This was exactly what Dave Gettleman was thinking when we drafted Vernon Butler in R1 in 2016.

A ton of People seem to have us taking either Legette or McConkey with  our first 2nd round pick.

I really wish theyd pick a dude with pure speed and separation ability, and stop gambling on traits vs consistent college production.

My top two are Troy Franklin and  Xavier Worthy.

Legette really scares me with 4 years of no production and 1 year of good production in his last year.

Adonai Mitchell similar story.

McConkeys looks okay ish, I guess.

At some point you have to stop going off 95% projection on these guys and draft the dudes that have proven they can produce? Maybe thats just me.

Its almost like the Panthers have been trying to re-draft Musin Muhammad for 25 damn years because hes the only R2 WR that the Panthers ever chose that was worth much of anything.  So they keep shooting for big body possession dudes and striking out every single time.

So am I. That said I don't think we're going to have an issue keeping Brown.

And.....we wouldn't be drafting him in round 1 either.

was hoping to do AD at 33 and Pearsall at 65, but Pearsall was already gone. i think this one was still pretty good (especially since i considered Trice at 39 before trading down)
