Varlamov is 3 years older than Raanta, I believe.

But you're right- 2 debacle games with a combined total of 13 goals allowed on 29 shots.

That should only happen to a really bad team once a year maybe.

This should be a full panic in our FO.

These are not the guys. That isn't a reactionary take.

They are playing historically bad. It isn't like Kochetkov or Raanta has a history of being world beaters. At best they can get hot in streaks.

So after a night of sleep and cooling off…happy we got a point. That building shook with the buzzer beater to go to OT. But with that being said. This team has three major problems that a killing us.

1.  Goalie. We don’t have one. 15 shots 8 goals and a week later. 15 shots 5 goals.

2. PP. it’s bad again. Without Tony D, it stinks. And we are going up shortys at a strange clip this year.

3.  This one is odd but true. PK. Our PK is not good. We are giving up too many power play goals. What is it like 6 in the last 4 games?

I really believe you have players like necas or a few others that don’t fit this team. However….good teams trying to win a cup or usually buyers or when they trade it, it’s for a true need.

If we can just get average to above average goalie play…we can win and close the gap on the Rangers.

Goaltending is a give alarm fire. The loss of Freddie was devastating

Ya Freddie kept us level. This is why I really wish we would have given Halak at least a game or two to see if he’s any better than what we have. The NHL has figured our goalies out.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
