I'm at work bored wasting my employers time and money then this idea popped in my head wouldn't it be cool if the NFL had a JV like off season.I'm sure this has come up before but the waiting in the off season for something to happen sucks.

My idea is to have practice squad/3rd stringers and free agents play during the off season 3 month league 8-10 games.

Feb 20th

April 20th

Playoffs Division winners only

JV SB May1st

Just a thought maybe help develop future QB's like the Europe Leauge did.....

I could see the league would allow the younger assistants to coach and pay players a min type wage and sell tickets half the price to games and the TV adds would pay for the rest.

During the reg season to keep cost down is to play divisional games only for example we would play the Falcons, Bucs and Saints twice winner plays in the playoffs no wild card.

It'd be really hard to put all together. Getting all the venues and coaching and support.

There's no way you get any guy to play that is a 3rd stringer. He would have to be undrafted, practice squad, or on the bubble. I can see them sending projects there. Like that DT with crazy measureables the chargers drafted.

Possible injury, no rest/rehab for the entire year. Learning a different system. Teams begin ota's in March. No, I wouldn't play in it.

Most of these players wouldn't ever see a football field again the ones that do excelled to make the team just like the Europe League. A European League in America during the off season will provide many players with a opportunity to show what they have.....

they don't need a farm league but it would be nice if they had one for player development. it would have to be here in the states, though. seasons would have to probably correspond with the NFL's in the same way the minor league does.

we have one in the making, though. it's called the UFL. already teams have been picking from those guys late in the season.
