I don't like giving up Flip, though I realize that he isn't under contract for next season and is either going to get a pay raise or go somewhere else. The team must think Hendo is ready to play, though there would only be 2 PGs on the roster at that point.

I am afraid of how offensive the Bobs' offense would be if they gave up Flip.

NO DEAL!

You have a point with Flip and our offensive drop-off, but for a rare 6'9 defensive talent like Tyrus who would flourish under Larry just like Wallace did, is to hard not to look at.

What I'm trying to get at is Tyrus (if developed to his potential) can be our next Wallace v2, and Stephen Graham + Henderson are more than up to the task to covering for flips stats.

What this team lacks is a *Real* Power Forward with Center like abilities, we have a stable full of Shooting Guards and wings altogether.

See we don't have a 2010 first rd pick that's why it think this rumor isn't credible.

I don't know if I would do this deal either because of Flip. Flip is nothing special but who would we have backing up Jackson. Also, I want a PF that isn't so perimeter oriented like Thomas, we already have Diaw.

We had a PF with Center like abilities and traded him to NO in the offseason.

If we got TT, would he start over Boris? I don't think so, but I know there are a lot of people unhappy with Boris.

Emeka Okafor is a short center, plain and simple.

I could go on and on about this common misconception.

And Tyrus would definitely have the potential to easily start ahead of Boris, your guaranteed to get +/- with Tyrus, he get's alot of flack because he's not the typical 6-10 banger, but look at what he did in the playoffs against Kendrick and Pierce defensively he was everywhere and he definitely has post moves in his arsenal.

Imagine a true PF version of Gerald Wallace in TT, dudes ceiling is that high imo and Brown can make him a baller.

Hell look at what he did with pencil figure Tayshaun.

"The Charlotte Bobcats bid Acie Law(notes), Flip Murray(notes) and their 2010 first-round pick, a league executive said. The Bobcats have been searching for a long, athletic forward like [Tyrus] Thomas, the fourth pick in the 2007 draft, and are expected to be aggressive pursuers. Portland Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard made an offer they'll have to improve upon to be taken seriously - one of his expiring contracts (Steve Blake(notes) or Travis Outlaw(notes)) and two future second-round draft picks."

You're right ..we don't have a first rounder this year. It will go the the Timberwolves via Denver if it is not lottery protected. And I seriously hope we aren't in the lottery this season.

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
