This team does not need a superstar...we just need some role players. First, sign Torry Holt...now! He reminds me of a quicker Rickey Proehl, and we all know how valuable he was. Holt still has 3 good years left in him.

Next, find an answer at safety. Harris is locked in, but I still do not trust Godfrey. Is Martin good enough to start on a defense that will not get much pressure??? I just don't know.

Next, find another DE, and let Pep walk. I would rather find one in FA as opposed to the draft, since we have youngsters already that coaches need to mold. Bosh from the Titans or Kampman from GB would be great fits. Kampman is a 4-3 DE and was not happy as a 3-4 LB in GB this year...he will be walking and looking for a 4-3 team.

And finally, and this brings me a lot of pain because I love the guy...but it is time to cut ties with Kasay. He was a great kicker, but lacks a big time leg these days. We need a kicker that can make 50+ yarders. Kasay cannot do that anymore. This is business folks, and we need to make tough decisions to stay competitive.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
