Hindsight being 20/20 and all that if we keep CMC, include Burns instead of Moore in the trade to Chicago for #1, then draft Stroud at #1 everything is so much different.

The harsh truth is that a no1 should elevate others play.  The texans have looked like ass again the last few weeks with stroud out.  Without him, they are a 4 win team.

So all talents are equal across the NFL? If this was the case there'd be no difference between having a guy like Mahomes and having a guy like Bryce. Having an OT like Trent Williams or having Byron Bell. Having a RB like CMC or having Chuba. Having a WR like Tyreek Hill and having TMJ. Good players elevate the play of their teammates, period. That's how team sports work.

Stroud also had by far his worst game in his last game before injury, putting up 6 points and less than 100 yards. Which just so happened to be his one game without Nico Collins and Tank Dell. So yes, weapons do matter…it’s not the QB’s job to single-handedly carry a weak receiving corps.

You aren’t making a connection between what we watched all year and his abilities. Or the limitations imposed by his skill set. Those aren’t in question and don’t need answering. We should discuss what he Can do.

What does that look like?

Today that was 65% completion 312 yards 2 TDS and 0 INTS. Any other questions?

Lol who said talents were equal across the nfl?   I said a no 1 elevates others which seems to be what you're saying

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
    • When has it not?     Also, when these starters play physical defense and turn that into transition offense, this team is downright scary.     that felt weird to type.
