Rams will take Sam Bradford?.

I know its not popular..But I think its a good ideal.

ESPN's Adam Schefter told a St. Louis radio station he is "willing to take all bets" on his prediction that the Rams will select Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford with the No. 1 overall pick.

Schefter admits that he has not spoken to the Rams about the issue, but he insists he doesn't need to because he's "heard enough other things" from people around the league that he considers it a lock. Schefter also "promises" that Bradford is a top-5 player in this draft. The Rams are also reluctant to pay the going rate at No. 1 for a defensive player. If Schefter is correct, the Lions are sitting pretty at No. 2 with their choice of Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy.

it really doesn't make any sense if that rumored trade with Tampa Bay was legit.

Neither Detroit or Tampa will be drafting a QB. The Rams could trade down with the bucs, clean up, and still get their man.

One problem with that... NOBODY wants to give out the ridiculous contract that will go to the number one overall selection, so I doubt anyone will want to give up a lot, if anything, to move up to the top spot.

number 1 contracts for DT (which the bucs were supposedly going to take) aren't insane like they are QBs.

"Schefter admits that he has not spoken to the Rams about the issue"

Let me go ahead and bold it for fun.

"Schefter admits that he has not spoken to the Rams about the issue"

laugh out LOUD

It amazes me that people like Schefter get paid to sit around and pull stories out of their asses!

How hard is it to make some phone calls to the front office or hit up some sources that hopefully you have inside each franchise if you have a job like Schefter's?

Gotta love the offseason!

    • I still think another QB is brought in Day 3. Grier is camp body level at this point.
    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
