Are we letting Moose Walk

unrestricted. here are a couple more:

Barring last-minute deals, wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad, defensive end Tyler Brayton, defensive tackle Hollis Thomas, guard Keydrick Vincent, quarterbacks Josh McCown and A.J. Feeley, cornerback Dante Wesley, safety Quinton Teal, kicker Rhys Lloyd and tackle Rob Petitti will also hit the market at midnight. The Panthers will not receive any draft pick compensation this year for losing those players, although they may get a supplemental pick (possibly as high as a third rounder) next year for Peppers.

i talked to him last week, and mentioned i hoped he would be back in uniform this season for the panthers. he didnt really say much, other than he was hoping so as well.

we'll see what happens, i think he is the safety valve for the FO in case something doesnt work out in the offseason. Moose is a great guy in the locker room and community, so lets hope he is around in come capacity to groom the younger players.

This is a mistake.

Moose isn't the greatest No. 2 receiver, but he's about all you can ask for in a No. 3 -- especially on a run-first team such as ours. I'd also like to keep him around to mentor whomever we pick up in the draft.

If Moose goes, we're going to have to pick up two receivers. I wonder if letting Moose walk means we'll snag someone like Boldin in free agency?

i hope they do sign back some of these guys. moose isn't as much a priority as brayton, thomas, and vincent but still...until we have a better idea of what is going to be there i would like to have him around.

they will probably wait a good while to do anything with any of these guys. have to see how the start of FA goes and maybe the draft.

wesley is a good defensive weapon to have around. i'd like him to stay as well.

The only person on that list that would be a priority to re-sign would be Brayton.

Thomas was a stop gap and we are back-loaded with young talent at DT because of all of the trades and aquisitions last year.

Vincent has injury concerns and with Bernadue, Schwartz, and Robinson on the roster his replacement is on the team.

Loyd is not a priority since most teams are not looking for a kickoff specialist. Especially one that has never proven he can kick FG's.

Wesley might have written his own fate with "The Hit" last year. Whether he meant it or not poo like that will get your ass blackballed. Teal is a scrub.

HOpe they get it done with Brayton, tough to replace both starting DEs in one year.

Also hope a deal is done with Wesley, and Teal; if they walk and someone takes a 2nd round stab at Marshall, our already sucky special teams gets a hundred times worse.

I agree on Brayton. He is definitely worth keeping and he really wants to be here. I can't believe they will let him walk especially with Peppers leaving. I would expect someone to pick him up.

As for Moose really it is a numbers game. If we keep Smitty, Moose, and Jarrett we already have Goodson who is a hybrid runner/ slot receiver. We have other guys like Moore, Martin and Jackson who would all be working for a slot. Now if we pick up a free agent or one of two guys in the draft, something is going to have to give. That could be 10 guys for 5 or 6 slots at the most. I expect Moose is one of those we will let go because he has no long term upside.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
