Damione Lewis Cut!

I can't believe people have been just fine with cutting kemo and they're freaking out about lewis. I would imagine they're both getting cut. We modified their contracts with those massive roster bonuses so I'd rather cut them than pay them that. I ocassionally felt like we woulc cutt lewis but I figured we would opt to keep him in rotation or pick up more guys after the draft. Now we have to look into drafting a DT which is cool. But It will be hard to get two impact guys at WR and DT.

Kemo will probably get an injury settlement.

I wanna get a OLB early in the draft but this just threw a wrench in my plans:mad:

Freaking out and calling the FO stupid for cutting a 32 year old, one demensional DT that was approaching the expensive backloaded years of his contract is being stupid at best.

Let's all try to be a little more emotionally stable that this.

Exactly. Watch them go BPA and get another linebacker with our first pick.

that'd be fine by me lol. Having 3 elite LB's would be a great strength. LB, WR, and DT all have decent depth in this draft so I wouldn't be suprised in we draft those guys in any sort of order.

When a team cuts the best DT on the team, it will cause some sort of commotion.

Well since you expect it, it pretty much guarantees its not going to happen.

They never draft who we expect.

I think a lot of people predicted us getting Stewart (I did), even Otah was in the conversation. We knew we needed a T and power back. Last year we didn't really have any glaring weaknesses aside from the glooming Peppers situation (although depth at DT was the bigger need). Actually they follow a pretty predictable strategy in the early rounds to me.

FA and trades is where they throw you for a loop. Unless our FO believes the solution is in house I could see us getting Atkins in the 2nd. Beast of a replacement.

I don't get it... How was Lewis any different this last season than he was in '08? Why now? It's not like he was making 5 mil a year. What difference does this move make?

He didn't appear to be "over the hill" yet in terms of his ability and I thought he was pretty valuable as a rotation guy myself.

I guess the thinking is that Leonard, Tyler and the guy we just picked up from the Colts are younger and better.

They have a plan, I'm sure. You can't in good conscience have a starting line of Johnson, Leonard, Tyler, Brown.

Plaaaaans.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
