Anyone nervous about us possibly playing AZ?

If our defense don't straighten its self out... Arizona is capable of beating us.. They about did it earlier in the year. Warner would pick our defense apart. The Cardinals remind me more of the 03 Panthers than any other team. They find ways to win.. may not be pretty but they find a way. If we end up playing Arizona, our conservative play calling just wont cut it.

I am not nearly as worried about the Vikings. I believe we beat ourselves in Minny in week 3. With all the penalty's the blocked punts, the time out with the blocked field goal. Yeah they are playing better now than they were then.. but id rather our defense play AP than possibly play Boldin and Fitzgerald, with James starting to do half way decent again. Outside of AP i can not really think of anyone on the Vikings O that can beat us. Also with them beating us in Week 3 i think the team would come out playing like they have something to prove!

Either way it goes next Saturday night BOA is gonna rocking! Should be an exciting game regardless of who we play. We can beat both teams. Although the way things have been looking we are only gonna go as far as our offense can carry us.

Arizona is who I wanted out of the 3 possibles ...

They played a dome game essentially today with the roof closed, I picked them to win there ... that's it though. The Cardinals are not built to win on the East coast, in the cold, in the playoffs. Did you see their game at NE? They cannot run the ball. They did a good job of stopping the run today, but that defense won't look so good in the elements. I like Whisenhunt, but the Cards aren't the Steelers yet - I believe the Panthers would crush them.

so go Eagles tomorrow!

even if not, Minnesota doesn't scare me with tarvaris jackson back there, and it would be nice to get revenge on them. I'm just glad Atlanta is gone, I did NOT want to see a division opponent coming into BofA next week.

I want our path to the superbowl to be tested and hard fought. I want Minny to win so we play them, and then Gmen to win in round 2 along with us, so we play them in the NFCCG. Taking the cupcake route to the superbowl only makes that last game harder. You know.. the one that matters. I also think there's some revenge in order.

Might sound weird

If they just pass, yes I'm worried

If they run and pass, no I'm not

I mean their defense still isn't good, and we're way better offensively than the first time we played them

Lucky for us, the game is at night time. So the temperatures will be cold. Not good for them, plus being on east coast

ATL just couldn't do anything in the 2nd half

at night, the temps cold? What low 40's,whooo real cold!:rolleyes5:that's about as cold as it gets at these games!Let's hope it gets a lot colder w/some crazy frozen precip to screw up their passing game!

I believe the Panthers are capable of beating any team left in the big dance, NFC or AFC.

I also believe that any team still in the hunt us fully capable of beating us, Arizona included.

Nobody should be assuming Super Bowl at this point. We have a tough road ahead regardless of who wins tomorrow.

We did not dominate,we almost lost.Steve S and a few other plays saved the day.Our D really needs to stepit up.remember the Panthers almost blew a 20 pt lead against the Saints!

AFTER falling behind 17-3, we outscored them 24-6. I think that's pretty dominant.

What do you people think, that we suddenly went out and got some genuine frozen tundra, and then got good playing on it? 30 degrees is nothing, neither are the light wind or drizzles we have a chance of getting. These guys didn't spend their whole career playing in the sunny desert, and they're not going to roll over and die just because it's a little chilly.

The weather is irrelevant. We'll win because we're better than they are.

    • I think Morgan has had the right general idea. The problem has been in execution.    Bryce year 1, there were myriad issues from roster talent to coaching and scheme, but the offensive line was particularly glaring. So they went out and  fixed the o-line by signing Hunt and Lewis.  That fix actually seems to have been at least moderately successful.    Last year, pass rush was a major issue. So they invested along the defensive line and at edge. The problem is, they either expended too many resources over correcting—partially because in free agency, when you’re a shitty franchise, you have to overpay to get talent in the door—or they didn’t make the right picks. It’s probably too early to pass judgment on the free agent class or draft picks as it’s only been one game. So we’ve got a small sample size and rookie edges may take time to develop. But if game 1 is any indication, they didn’t solve the problem.
    • This is getting out of hand again. I swear some of yall just look for reasons to call out the QB, in an extremely thinly vieled "OFFENSIVE CAP HIT" statement.  All of that is offensive line. It was an overreaction to how horrible the guards were in 2023, where guys were starting multiple games that will never take a snap in the NFL again. Speaking of 2023... where did the offensive cap rank then? Where are those WRs playing in the league now? How much are the WRs, TEs and RBs making compared to the rest of the NFL? We have two, 1st round WRs on the roster. And they are the only WRs on the roster picked before the 4th round. One shouldn't have been a first rounder, he's only in his second season, AND he was literally outplayed by an UDFA rookie WR last year - that is currently on IR. The other WR picked before the 4th round has only played one game as a pro.  QB play needs to improve. Absolutely no friggin doubt about that. But, come on. That dude has not been dealt a fair hand, no matter how many ways you try to spin it. Let's hope he figures out how to make chicken salad out of the chicken poo this team has served him his entire time here. Hoping that this org finds another Cam Newton is not really a realistic expectation.
    • Put Young on any team and they would still have to run a limited scheme for him. Put any talent around him and they still have to carry him.  IDGAF if we trade him inside the NFCS next year. That is how little I fear ever playing him.
