I think we should look into drafting..

I agree, if Jacoby is there in the 3rd, we definitely need to grab him, assuming we didn't take WR with our 2nd rounder.. He is a raw talent, like Steve Smith was coming out of college.. with huge upside. But, I think Ford's stock is 2-3, so I doubt it will happen.

I think his 40 time is gonna get him snagged in the 2nd.

With his speed he would be a definite 1st round pick if he was considered a "very good" receiver. Having said that, I wouldn't mind picking him up in the 5th round or later if he were available but somebody will reach for him much earlier, IMO.

Well the benefit of having Ford no matter how raw he is, is that not only do we get a return man and at least another offensive threat, but who better to tutor him than Steve Smith? The chances of him succeeding as a WR are that much greater if he comes here.

this.

I think we should get marty gilyard in the 2nd round he can be a slot WR and he can be a good kick returner but i would take ford too

As much as i like Ford, Mardy is better. Very good returner in college top three stats. Both guys have size issues. I am warming to Carlton Mitchell, Marcus Easley and Scott Long

size issues?? Ford is 5'9, 186 lbs...umm lets see what reciever who is most likely going to be in the hall of fame and is a top 5 wr in the league right now that is 5'9? I think you know the answer. and Gilyard weighed in at the combine at 6'0, 187 lbs.

Ford is not very physical and has issues w/ his routes. Ford's 40 time has given him too much hype. I'm not saying Carolina shouldn't draft him.....just only if he falls to the 4th or so.

Not a huge fan of Ford. His speed does not translate on the field anywhere near to what it is on the track (he's still fast, just not the speed demon his 40 time might indicate), and he is not a good route runner. His speed is also mostly straight line speed, not the quickness you need to get in and out of breaks. As a result, he does not get good separation.

He is a project, someone that will take a lot of work to become an effective pro...even then there's no guarantee that it will pay off. To me, Ford looks like a track guy that is playing football, not a football player that runs track.

Jacoby Ford. we need a return guy, we havent had one since he hate me. and Ford has got the speed. not only that, but he is a good reciever. he has the small receiver menality that smith has. and we all know we need a receiver to put out there with smith.

it would be worth a shot to get a receiver with his speed. literally one of a kind. if receiving doesn't work out at least we know he can work as a returner

lol he hate me??? damn, I would say mark jones was better then him, but I think we havent had a good return man since Smitty was back there lol:thumbsup:

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
