We traded the farm for the #1 overall pick. The #1 overall pick is meant to elevate the players around him, not complain that the situation isn't perfect. The reason he had no D the 2nd year is because Morgan stripped that side of the ball bare to prop up Young. -

Based on this, we can make educated guesses of when we won't be playing various teams Gives a little insight into the machinations the NFL schedule makers go through when determining who plays when for example, it's likely we're not playing either Cin or Atl in Week 10. Probably not playing Steelers or Saints in week 8. Ravens in week 4 is probably out as well. No Eagles in Week 6. No Lions in Week 11. Vikings in Week 12 would be questionable as well -
Essentially we're either paying a replacement level player a shitload of money next year and encasing our feet in concrete before jumping in the river, or we're handing the reigns over to a rookie. The rest of the roster building has been really impressive, but the QB room is a mess.
