The point about the d-line was a good one. There are too many questions there right now. While I do agree that there is a need to get a young WR, I'd me happier if they addressed DL first in the draft.

My only response is what is really the difference between the young unproven guys we have, and rookies? The only difference is that the guys we have- do have experience, which in theory would give them an advantage on any rookies we bring in. Honestly anyone we draft would end up being a back up anyway. Idk, generally Im an optimist, until I actually see the team play. I don't see it as bad as others. and I agree too about the Receiver position

truth is they can't report more because it's all baseless speculation until results show up on the field...

then again, ESPN is great at baseless speculation, so I guess I can be disappointed they didn't talk about us more. :)

Yea, that segment was just space filler, they didn't really know a whole lot about where the team is actually at.

They also called DWill and JStew smash and dash, and said we have a ? at QB, meh, just useless talking.

That was Laroi that had questions about Matt Moore. At this point, I only have the question of can he perform that well the entire season.

Its a good point. I definitely can see that line of thinking.

Nothing wrong with being an optimist.

I laughed when they said 6-10. I was with them the whole time until they said what our records would be.

The games we lost last year were mainly due to Jake Delhomme (Cowboys, Bills, Phins, Falcons (game 1), Jets) and if we had someone else in those games, we would've won them. Matt Moore may not be the greatest quarterback ever, but as long as he isn't throwing 3 or 4 picks a game, he doesn't have to be. We're a run first team, Dwill and Jstew can do the rest. Get Matt another WR, we'll be fine.

Sure we have questions at Dline, but honestly, if we draft a DT in the second (if we get a extra pick) or 3rd, we should be fine.

I see us going 11-5 or 12-4 this year. this is not a throw away year guys.

Didn't see the segment but from what is posted it looked pretty accurate. Based on who is on the team right now and our competition- somewhere between 8-8 and 6-10 seems about right. Hopefully we get some other folks in here and change that to something like 10-6.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
