Panthers mock draft from Bleacher Report

So just because we have had a couple of USC WR that havent exactly lived up to your expectations, you guys want to write off every single other USC WR for the rest of the Panthers history? If you guys remember, Colbert had a damn good rookie year, and Jarrett started to look pretty solid towards the end of last year.

Im not saying I want them to get the USC guy this year, but to totally write off an entire school is pretty fuging gay.

Anyone have information on Williams? who are they comparing him to? I really would like for us to get Shipley. I think Shipley is going to be awsome and I think he can be obtained in the second round. I like the fourth round pick, 6'5 330 is huge.

First off, are you guys still riding off Jarrett? Give him a chance with Moore before you ride him off completely

Second, how would you guys know if Williams will be a bust in the NFL? Just because a few USC receivers didn't succeed? Well look at Steve Smith (Giants), he turned out to be be pretty good and he is a USC guy. Keyshawn wasn't a bad USC receiver either.

Just saying

 thank you, im so sick of hearing these so called "fans" bitch that Jarrett is a bust, when he never has been given a chance. I will bet anybody he has a solid year this year due to the fact that Moore knows how to spread the ball around. Does anybody rea;ize delhomme was garbage and was not capeable of looking for other WR's? DELHOMME IS GONE, now we instantly are a better offense, get over it

With Brayton back I'm not looking for a DE in the 2nd or 3rd now. I think it is obvious that DT and WR are the only places to look at those spots. I'm thinking DT in the 2nd, with a deep draft we could get one with a late round one grade. As for WR, there could be another Smitty waiting for us in the third. A guy a bit short or unpolished that may slip the way Steve did.

Lastly, I don't see how people can not be down on Jarrett. He hasn't played much because he has not earned it. Funny how he fell off the 45 man game roster for several games last year in favor of a couple of undrafted guys. It's hard to play when you are demoted. Blame Jake all you want, but he wasn't the one demoting Jarrett.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
