Philadelphia gets #32 from Seattle

Seattle gets Donovan McNabb

apparently this was said on ESPN radio. it's just a RUMOR but interesting nonetheless.

Won't happen.

The thing that makes it unrealistic in my opinion is Saints getting a #14 overall pick for Reggie Bush lol.

edit- actually after that AWFUL trade Seattle made for Whitehurst, I can actually see it happening loool

The Saints love Reggie. They have done nothing to give anyone the impression that he is going anywhere.

And for all the hate he gets on this board, he averaged a whopping 5.6/carry and scored 8 TDs in the regular season last year. And he is a great receiver out of the backfield. And he scored 3 TDs in the playoffs. And he is Sean Payton's first pick ever, and Payton wants him to succeed.

So while he is never going to win a popularity contest on the Huddle, he is a very good player that the Saints find pretty valuable, and he is not going anywhere.

Saints would be trading Bush + a #32 overall for the #14 overall and Julius Jones.. I don't think the Saints are getting a bargain.. they must really have their eye on someone to move up the draft like that.

As an Eagles fan, I don't think the #32 for Mcnabb is bad at all and wouldn't view that as being "owned". I was thinking a high second/late first would be more than fair and almost wishful thinking. In fact, Philly might throw a parade if that happened.

People tend to overate the value players in "player for picks" trades. You have to take into consideration the length of the contract remaining and cost of that contract, direction and needs of the teams involved, etc.

    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
    • I think they are watching to see who’s going to be available before they make theirs official. Probably working trades too. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t cut anyone today.
