Edge rush coming?

Recommended Posts

You never know if Newton has inside information or he is just covering all the bases.  Newsflash:  They might sign none, one, two, but three is unlikely.

Cutting edge.  However, I don't think anyone was hoping for two.  I say sign one, draft one, but that is just me--I am no David "Fig" Newton.

Looks like we might be close to signing somebody?

If it were someone other than Newton I would agree.  I still think we sign one, but I think they had other visits.  That could be agent talk for "we want top dollar"

In Juan we trust.

If he embeds properly, that is.

Yeah he's about to lose his only contribution to the forum to @Jackie Lee because he doesn't know how to embed a tweet. Lost on a technical glitch. Poor kid. What will he do with his life now?

I'm not believing it until Jaun posts it.

Agreed, it isn't so until Juan says so. I also hope if anything happens that Juan does not embed the tweet so I can watch twenty people at once bitch about it in the thread. The real joy behind his breaking news stories is how upset it makes his followers who eagerly stand by refreshing their phones waiting for his updates so they can cry each time he purposely does not wait a second to "embed a tweet". I love it and hope it continues myself!

The little poo finally got on my nerves enough to where I joined the chorus of bitching about it. I think more than a few of us do not want to join the click bait parade and are just tired of the crap. But to each his own. I just do not click on the links.

Oh I don't click on Juan's links either. At first I was saying "what the hell man" as I would read his breaking news reports but then I realized he was mind fugging me in Juan's special way so I just read the comments and wait for someone else to embed the tweet.

My favorite of Juan's has always been when some of the most absurd shitty dumb news possible that nobody except Fitt. would have made with a trade or signing and Juan chimes in with "I fully approve this". I can't help but laugh each time. The board needs this guy. He is a goofball but harmless and provides a chuckle for some like me regularly in some of his odd responses like his attraction to our new head coach and how sexy he thinks Canales is. Juan's whole persona makes me laugh and I need more laughs in my life these days.

    • My final first round prediction was difficult--thanks to the lack of expected trading early on and the Birds picking Pinix.  I got 8 correct, however, in the area of matching the player with the team.  That means I got 24 wrong.  I did hear the hostess praising Daniel Jeremiah on NFL Network for getting 9 correct in 2023.  This year, however, the first three or four picks were pretty set.  Here are the correct picks from my second draft of my first round mock: Correct Player and Team:  8 1. Chicago Bears  Pick: Caleb Williams QB, USC (Hit the lob over the plate out of the park. Anyone who missed this one should just stop mocking) 2. Washington Commanders   Pick:  Jayden Daniels QB, LSU (Another freebie. About a 90% chance this would be the pick) 3. New England Patriots Pick: Drake Maye, QB, UNC (Did not fall for the pre-draft JJ McCarthy nonsense. Those kinds of moves get you fired. I am rolling. Nothing can stop me now!!) 4. Minnesota Vikings (Trade) Pick: JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan (While the Vikings moved up to 10 and got JJ McCarthy instead of 4,, the team and the player are accurate--missed on the trade. I will take it.) 6. New York Giants  Pick: Malik Nabors, WR, LSU (Correct. The Giants pass on QB and take the WR). 9. Chicago Bears   Pick:  Rome Odunze, WR Washington (Bingo. This was pretty easy, but I did not know about the Williams-Odunze friendship when I picked this.) 25. Green Bay Packers (9-8)   Pick: Jordan Morgan, OT Arizona. (Correct!!! I am on fire again) 26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers   Pick: Graham Barton, C, Duke (Correct!! I am blazing)
    • Apparently this draft wasn't loaded with edge help. I think I heard that after the 1st round the pickings were slim and would need a lot of development. Whether that is true or not I couldn't say.
    • I don’t like taking goalscorers in these playoff games even Mackinnon but I said fug it.
