For Hilton Head - Sigler's. It's just off the island, you won't regret it.

There's this one place just across the cooper river from charleston that I liked a lot but can't remember the name.

Geribaldi's (sp? last time I was there, had a decent go at Italian seafood)

Sermet's (great sweet tater fries, good breakfast)

Oakhouse (Top 10 steaks of America)

Peninsula Grille

Bocci's (for lunch)

Kickin' Chicken (to reacquaint yourself with college eatin' habits, cheep beer)

High Cotton (great jazz usually)

Old Towne Grille/Seafood (Greek downtown, although it was being refurbed the other weekend we were down there)

Fish

Rooftop at Vendue (around the corner from SNOB, etc.) has a good view of where I'm getting hitched and is a casual drink place

The Rooftop restaurant at the Andrew Pinckney Inn is pretty good for breakfast

Circa 1886 is in a cool Wentworth Mansion, not kiddie friendly though I'd think

Henry's for lunch

Magnolias people love it, I'm eh with it

Anson was pretty good about 10 or so years ago

82 Queen is a little antiquated but has it's following

Jestine's has some pretty cool soul food

If you're in Mt. P/IOP, skip over the Ronnie's and Boathouse and all that crap on the right side of the street, go to the left and hit up Shem Creek. Or the Mustard Seed. Alex's Restaurant for a hangover breakfast...nevermind.

After all that, you have to go to Kaminsky's for desert. Bring the insulin.

Go with Scrum's advice. He knows the area.

Also, added blue cheese to the shrimp & grits. Delish!

Oyster are through the roof right now. Just got back from a family reunion on Seabrook Island and we were suppose to have an oyster roast. We had to go with a whole pig on the grill instead because oysters were going for $1/oyster.

Thanks everybody.

Really appreciate the advice, we'll be there in mid July, when it should be nice and steamy.

If you think of any place else, or someplace new really kicks arse, drop me a PM closer to that time.

Local help is always best, with the notable exception of that putz CH.

Poes for lunch on Sullivans. Good pub grub and hot waitresses

Coast for dinner downtown. Get a place at the communal table.

Shem Creek Bar and Grill is usually nice and has a great view of the creek and the boats.

Coast is really good. Lotsa nice scenery there too.

Shem Creek - I wasn't too impressed but their oysters were good.

Hymans - good but extremely touristy (tour buses, etc).

If in Mt. Pleasant - Boulevard Diner. Not fancy but damn good food. Always busy. Desserts are incredible.
