Who's better, Kolb or Moore?

will analysts like Jamie Dukes say "who is that guy"? when discussing the QB situation in philly? or will he automatically do well bc hes had 2 starts with 300 passing yards? personally, I can't wait to hear what they have to say just to compare stories. or is it worth comparing? what do you think?

Everyone recognizes him, and labels him better because he was a 2nd round draft pick. He has done absolutely nothing that would put him ahead of Moore, but since Moore went undrafted, he's automatically better.(in the eyes of the media/etc.)

Saw an article on NFL.com stating how Kolb "Light up Kansas City" (what an unbelieveable task BTW) but I seriously doubt anything about how much ass Moore has kicked against some really good teams with alot to play for will ever be mentioned.....

We are somewhat responsible for Kolb's rise to power. We hurt McNabb during our 1st game. I cannot remember if McNabb played the next week or not but I do know he eventually took a couple of weeks off after he got hurt against us. Which gave Kolb his starts and Philly's belief he could be good.

Kolb had 2 - 300 yd games during those few starts. Impressive, most definitely but enough to want him over Moore. I am not sold. Moore (as stated before) has excelled against some pretty decent competition.

Moore is better suited for us. He is solid enough to keep a defense honest. Has faith in our OLine to protect him so he isn't rattled by pressure when required to throw. Has the arm to get it down field. He is a good game manager and IMO what this team needs. We don't need a 300+ yd QB. That isn't our forte.

kolb.

and i am an eagle fan who has never liked him since they drafted him.

explain how he's better

Moore in his first starts this year(5 games): 4-1, 8TD/1INT, 1,053 yards, 98.5 QB rating, 61.1% completions.

Kolb in his first starts this year(2 games): 1-1, 4TD/3INT, 741 yards, 88.9 QB rating, 64.6% completions.

i think kolb has more upside/potential. he was a second round pick for a reason. mcnabb got ripped for not 'being accurate' and kolb will def have a better completion percentage than mcnabb did most years. he played in a short pass offense in college which we know the eagles love to throw the ball so i do believe he is better suited for this offense than other QBs.

that said, i hated when they picked him in the second round, hoped he failed when he got a chance to play and would still take him over matt moore.

    • This is one of my key concerns lost in the sauce that is the neverending conversation about him evading pressure and the OL. Eventually any QB is going to have to step up into the pocket and show the defense they can still beat them even if they get through. We have a limited QB who cannot consistently do this and as such we are relegated to going back and forth about how successful he was at evading pressure but we have little else to write home about. Tyler Shough stepped up into the pocket and made plays despite being pressured and sacked. He's played in about 35 less games than Bryce Young. That is a problem. And isn't just going to go away. The Bucs are going to do the same thing after watching the film.
    • Oh, absolutely! That doesn't absolve the absolute dogshit hockey that the team played in front of him, though. Only Cane that played well tonight was Bradly Nadeau.
    • Thanks for illustrating my point.  No one in the last several pages of this discussion is suggesting we should hang on to him, but anytime someone says anything less than "take him out back and shoot him" you act like they are. That's either you not understanding what you're reading or just being a nimrod because you can't keep up. (I would have said 'or just sh-tposting' but you're way too emotional on this topic for that) Either way, the result is the same 😆
