Who's better, Kolb or Moore?

i think kolb has more upside/potential. he was a second round pick for a reason. mcnabb got ripped for not 'being accurate' and kolb will def have a better completion percentage than mcnabb did most years. he played in a short pass offense in college which we know the eagles love to throw the ball so i do believe he is better suited for this offense than other QBs.

that said, i hated when they picked him in the second round, hoped he failed when he got a chance to play and would still take him over matt moore.

So your arguement is back to "He must be better because he was a 2nd rd pick". Lame.

Also, it depends on how you define better. If you are looking for passing STATS, then Kolb will win. He is in a pass happy offense. He better average 350 yards plus becuase their running game sucks. Moore will be asked to manage a run first team. We will ask him to average about 200-225 yards a game...that is all.

Diff types of offenses will generate diff stats. Wins and losses are what matters. That won't be known for a while.

Kolb is in a better situation to be successful with names like DeSean Jackson, Jermey Maclin, Jason Avant, Brent Celek, Leonard Weaver and LeSean McCoy catching your passes.

But it's really too early to tell these sorts of things.

exactly.

so yes, i am saying kolb is better because he was drafted in the second round for a reason, has more potential because of that and has better players around him in the offense he is in.

instead of replying to the thread 'oh, we dont know what either of them will do, lets wait until the end of the season to make judgment' i picked the side of the guy that i think will have a better year.

we really won't know for some time, alot depends on how they both handle the pressure of being the guy, kolb has more pressure on him because he is replacing mcnabb and has vick breathing down his neck and we also can't forget the philly fans, won't be long before they turn on him if he plays poorly

By that logic, David Carr and Ryan Leaf would be better than Tom Brady.

Please try again.

So is Jamarcus Russell. Brady doesn't have anything on Jawalrus! Also: Alex Smith > Aaron Rodgers. He definitely has potential to be better because he was drafted before him.

It's an argument that holds absolutely ZERO water.

The Pats don't run a West Coast Offense. Never have.

Off the top of my head, the only teams I can think of currently running it are the Eagles and Vikings, and with the Vikes it's something of a modified version.

Bucs, 49ers, Seahawks and even the Panthers used to (Seifert era).

Seahawks ran the westcoast up to last season (not sure what they will run under Coach Carroll). But, the Browns run the WCO, and you can't forget the Packers. They are the king of WCO. I also think the Falcons run a version of the WCO. The Redskins did under Zorn, but will change under Shanahan.

in 2000, tom brady was drafted in the 6th round. chad pennington and chris redman were two QBs that went before him in the first and third round respectively. by the beginning of the 2001 season, who do you think teams would want of those three?

of course, now we know who the best of those three are. hindsight is always 20/20. ill come back to this thread in ten years with my real answer.
