Could definitely be more than 1 losing.  Ohio State would be my pick Tennessee defense is amazing

Too much meh-ness this year.  Generally the top teams are so good they can survive a bad day even if lesser teams have a good day.  I don’t think these teams can.

This. The top two or three teams are usually just head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. This year that's just not the case.

I don't forsee South Carolina getting up for this one. I anticipate sleep walking through it like the game vs Virginia at the bank a few years ago. Such a boring match up.

Are you talking about a non-playoff bowl game? Yeah, no one is getting up for them and all the draft bound guys will sit it out. The bowl system needs to be at least cut on half. Being bowl eligible used to really mean something. Now it just means you suck HARD if you're not.

Regular bowl games were meh when it was a 4 team playoff.  They are just painfully bad in a 12 team college playoff format.  I mean, why play any high value player.  Sellers blows a knee for what?

What is there to brag about at this point winning a non-CFP game.  It can’t be used for recruiting.   It highlights you couldn’t make a 12 team format and then it’s an exhibition with who knows who playing on either side.

I think more and more high caliber kids that are basically pros at this point….start treating them like the Pro Bowl.  As in nah, I ain’t risking injury.

I think if Illinois would have drawn Ole Miss and SC would have drawn Miami it would have been better.

Kiffin and Illinois HC been talking poo to each other and Miami been talking poo about SEC defenses being weak.

I very seriously Ward plays in a non-playoff bowl and Miami's defense without Ward piling up points? They might be a top 40 team.

SC is a rough bowl draw given that they have a stud QB who will play since he's not draft eligible.

Them Drawing the Citrus which is by invitation means they believed SC was the best remaining SEC team unlike the committee.

iirc Sankey picks the rest.

Evidently the Heels has a second meeting with Belichick late last week. Good lord, this might actually happen.

Well, at least as a Panthers/Heels fan I am VERY much accustomed to hoping for the best while fully expecting the worst. LOL

I wish you well installing the Patriot way in Chapel Hill.  That just screams the reverse of what we know wouldn’t work at the pro level

they would be well coached.  I mean whoever is willing to put up with Bill would be.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
