Here's the thing: there's absolutely no guarantee that works.

What this team needs above all else is talent and stability.

You can't get talent if you keep going "all in" on bandaid fixes.

You can't have stability if you keep turning over the entire front office and coaching staff.

Why do you need stability at the GM and HC position? Because a GM that KNOWS he's going to be here for a few years is more willing to trade down and acquire future assets (see Rams trade last year). We desperately need that.

A GM that feels like the owner is liable to fire him any second burns through assets and resources like there is no tomorrow because the future doesn't matter.

    • And again, the TLDR of the above is........ My expectations for T-Mac's rookie season have nothing to do with him and more because of my expectations for the rest of the WR room. I think his 2nd season when we then lose Thielen and replace him by just shifting everyone else up a spot in the pecking order and replace him with an end of the bench guy, is when he explodes for a huge yardage season. XL and Coker wouldn't make a good 1/2 combo with Thielen in the slot.  But T-Mac as the 1 with Thielen in the slot has the real potential to make XL/Coker an actual elite 2/4 combo.  Drafting T-Mac drastically changes the potential impact of those two, if anything, that's the biggest thing taking him did to the offense. Because honestly, how many teams have a 3rd and 4th receiving option as good as XL and Coker?
    • good one though it’s really no joke. I know a few friends and family members that suffer with this condition.
    • There's nothing normal about a 73 year old dating a 24 year old and a wildly successful NFL coach going to the college level in his twilight years is unprecedented. Yeah, raving success or absolute clown show. We'll see how it plays out on the field but this is why I was always very apprehensive about going after Belichick. The odds of it going the clown show route seem to be increasing by the day.
