I think the team should use at least two picks on WR, How ever I don't think they will. I'm expecting the first two picks to be defense picks. DT and DE in either order, the only way WR is the 2nd round pick is if one of the top 4-5 wides fall to us....most mocks have them all gone before Carolina picks now.

Depends on who's on the board. I don't even believe that this is being asked. You should never get blinded by positional needs. I actually predict a LB in the 2nd round.

you could be right... but i think we'll still take a DL in the 2nd, and a WR in the 3rd. and then i think whichever they have rated higher, they'll go with either a LB or OT in the 4th.

Logistically speaking, your analysis may be pretty close to how it's going to go down. With the wealth of talent in this years draft some nice recievers should still be available in the 3rd and 4th and possibly the 6th and 7th, unless of course that is, a top 5 reciever manages to fall to us at 48.

I'm still not convinced that we'dtrade up for anyone except maybe Golden Tate(Smitty 2.0), but considering WR's like Mardy Gilyard, Andre Roberts, Taylor Price, Marcus Easley, Eric Decker, Jacoby Ford, and Blair White should still be available in 3rd and 4th that's probably not gonna happen, so we may very well take a DE/DT with our first pick or two.

This is how I actually see it playing out(if there is no trading whatsoever):

2nd: BPA (DE/DT)

3rd: WR

4th: QB

6th: OL/WR

6th(comp): DE

6th(comp): DT

7th:WR/OL

7th(comp): OL

Loaded ? considering we have no idea who will be there at 48 so I guess it would be a draft board type scenario.

DE Bradon Graham (Brown fell last year its possible)

DT Brian Price (ditto)

WR D. Thomas

DT Tyson Alualu

Trade Back

DT Geno Atkins

Mine would look like:

Round 2: WR

Round 3: WR

Round 4: WR

Round 6: WR

Round 7: WR

Round 7: WR

Actually I think I'll trade next years 1st and get another WR in the 2nd. Then go with an undrafted FA for DT.

Great....that would make us the Detroit Lions of the South.:D

I'm actually hoping to get Alualu, if not someone better at DT...I'd love B.Price from UCLA. I don't quite understand those of you who are so adamant about getting a WR over a solid DT. Yes, WR is a need, but DT is JUST as big of a need, if not more. It doesn't matter that we have players on the roster, what matters is that none of them are a threat to solid o-lines.

BPA. But i think there are better d-lineman than receivers in this years draft. If we were really looking to get a no. 1 type guy, next year is the year to do it. I see alot of possession and slot guys in this draft, and thats not necessarily a bad thing. We need talent at WR period.

It depends on who dropped down to this pick. Hurney and Fox are looking for value more so at this pick because we don't have a first round pick. I think a DT like Aluala or Price unless some how Tate or Benn drop down to pick#48. Don't be surprise if QB isn't wasted at this pick!

well, according to foxy we are really deep at DT so that isn't really a big need...of course that could be foxspeak for we are getting a DT with our first two picks so who knows?

i want to go after the BPA among WR, DT, DE, SAM. i also don't see the #48 pick as being our first. we'll likely move up.
