Chris Harris says he will be traded

IRONMAN

Recommended Posts

Chris Harris is nowhere near comparable to Steve Smith... To even try and do that is absurd...

Never said that, I said that he plays a role on defense similar of the role of steve smith on offense. Both playmakers, and considering the surrounding cast at that position, it is undoubtedly true.

The only true Strong Safeties we have are Aaron Francisco and that Undrafted Free Agent we just signed. So that means we start one of them or one of the Free Safeties (Martin, Godfrey, Pugh, Hudson) will have to move over to SS. This sucks major ass!

Harris was supposed to be our Fumble-Forcing Machine, but Godfrey caused more fumbles than anyone (except Pep) last year. His tackling also improved a lot after the injury as well. He has always been better than Harris in coverage, too...

Wait, nvm. G0DFR3Y SUCCKZZZED 4ALWAYS!1!.

godfrey had 4 ff and 1 int and 45 tckls

harris had 2 ff and 3 int and 60 tckls

almost no difference in the amount of turnovers. and this was a DOWN year for harris and godfreys best year after a rookie replace him for a few games.

oh forgot sherrod martin ff 1 int 3

his tackling didn't improve. He simply can't make open field tackles. He also can't cover.... WAY too much was made of those plays in regards to Godfrey making improvements.

Harris sucks in coverage.....and Godfrey was worse than he was. Seriously...that is absurd what you just said. Godfrey? better? I know fans always try to see how to turn lemons into lemonade....but this is a bad move......just another move showing they are looking past 2010 while making move to improve the team.

Davis coming back from a major injury...

Beason still Beastin'...

Anderson/Connor totally unproven...

Norwood is a rookie...

Bring in someone (Hillenmeyer?) that has started in a good defense and has the experience we need...

We stole Harris from them for a 5th, and now we'll likely get a player and even more compensation for him... It is a win for us, and good move by the front office...

ya right, anderson and connor are totally unproven. have you watched when they've played? so what if norwood is a rookie? linebacker is not a high learning curve from college to the pros. totally disagree. i cannot fathom that this will be a trade for a linebacker unless we're certain norwood will be a defensive end, regardless of the draft pick compensation.

Dude not abuot stats at all, you have to look at the game footage. Hell you don't even have to do that, just search this forum for all the peole bitching and complaining about charles godfrey, the dude is out of position more than richard simmons in a Man Law round table discussion.

Jamar Williams is a linebacker...

I win the argument...

    • It's not only about the draft spots, the scheduling is a huge factor. We already have a tough 2026 schedule by playing the North divisions, that's possibly 7 playoff contenders there and a few true SB contenders between the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Bears, Ravens, Bengals, and Steelers (Browns will still suck lol), while also pulling the AFC West for the 17th game. Let's just say for the sake of argument we are going to be true contenders in 2026 in both scenarios Would you rather go 9-8 and to make the playoffs as the last WC or worst division winner, lose in the first round and then have to add likely the Eagles/Commanders, 49ers/Rams, and Chiefs/Chargers to an already tough schedule because we have a 1st/2nd round finish this year, while picking 19th in the draft (where the worst playoff team picks) or Or lose an extra game to finish 8-9, while ending up in 3rd (obviously need Falcons/Bucs to get a WC spot) and miss the playoffs, but then get to add likely the Cowboys/Giants, Seahawks/Cardinals, Broncos/Raiders to the schedule while picking 13th in the draft (the highest an 8-9 team picked this year). I can understand why some people would just want to go to the playoffs again, and I can't fault that thinking.  But I'm always a bigger picture person and looking at what is best for the future of the franchise and winning a SB, not my immediate feelings that game/season.   So I'm taking those 3 SIGNIFICANTLY easier games and the 6 better draft spots. If we're a true contender in 2026, those 3 games based on divisional finish could very well be the difference of a 1 vs whatever seed.  Right now the top teams in the NFC are the teams who play in places you don't want to have road playoff games at... GB, Detroit, Philly are some of the toughest stadiums to play in, especially if cold weather games for the outdoors ones.  Give me the few extra easier games to hopefully make the difference in getting home field advantage. Making the playoffs to just lose in the first round isn't worth the first scenario to me when the alternative is losing maybe one or two more games while looking better while doing so.  I can stomach those extra losses in a much improved season when it's for the betterment of our future.
    • We also watched Cam take Carolina to the SB but how much did his career change when he went to the Pats? See how that works? You create a post just to rag on player on another team just because you hate. You love to do this stuff. I've seen it for a few years. You are one of the main problems on this site. Not just y0u but you're definitely one of them. This topic should be in the nfl general chat. As a mod I would think you would understand that but no. The mods need mods around here.  This is for Panther's material. Can a real mod move this thread to it's proper place please?
