Jamar Williams looking forward to a shot with Carolina

looking forward to the competition. the strongside should be incredibly stout by the time the season starts.

i thought this was very interesting...

And from what I understand, their SAM is like the WILL (weak-side) linebacker in Chicago.
big reason why we are trying to get fast there.

could also mean we may be trying to get more pass rushing from that side.

It wouldn't shock me if he does win the SAM job here because, honestly, he's up against guys in his same boat, talented, but never starters outside of injury stints. I really think Anderson is going to end up at WILL, especially if Davis ins't ready to go. The competiton is going to be really between Connor and Williams. Connor is good, but he's more suited to MIKE. Williams has a good chance to win the spot IF he catches on quickly.

Their fans seem to think highly of him if you read the responses.
aside from a couple comments there has been a ton of good things said about williams and how they wish he had gotten more of a shot. i remember when harris got here that there was some of that going on but not near the level is for williams.

    • Horn can't fall again, they need to stop the run and they have to keep Shough contained in the pocket. Simple
    • Technically, he wasn't in the league when the Ravens called, but for discussion's sake Iet's assume that he was. The Ravens thing wasn't exactly a negative either. It's all about perspective, empathy and really having an open mind---and an independent mind, not necessarily given into trite, good-boy-bad-boy narratives of an institution that has had problems of varying degrees on its own as a whole. As for Sanders' abilities during college or three games into his pro career, sure I've seen better, but I've seen a lot worse. In my estimation, he deserves an honest chance just like any kid that's drafted into the league. He may not get it, due to the nature of the beast, but it's not because he's been stinking up the field.
    • He has not showed himself to be TO. Not close. Your baggage, for some reason.    This is tiresome. He doesn’t seem like that bad a kid. We know dad has a huge mouth and ego. I haven’t kept up to see what extent Deion has inserted himself into that situation in Cleveland but it seems like if he were causing trouble we would hear about it.    He was a 5th round pick I think and was embarrassed nationally on draft day and also with the Falcons coach’s son prank calling him, it doesn’t appear that he has had an easy time of it and is getting a chance to play. I’ll judge him on what actually happens moving forward.
