So let me get this straight. Moore who is entering his fourth season in the league has a 6-2 lifetime record in the NFL is going to go 2-4 in the first 6 games. Then Clausen will come in lets say week 8 and go 7-3 as a rookie with no experience.

First of all, if Moore plays well and we lose due to the defense, he will stay in after the bye. Second, Fox knows the schedule after the bye gets easier so he will keep Moore in for those games as well. Unless Moore struggles, Clausen will be holding the clipboard unless he has a fantastic preseason and camp.

And lastly, if Clausen comes in there is no way we go 7-3. If he gets playing time we will be headed to a 6-10 season at the best.

Nah, after re-reading...it's a very unsure/extremely optimistic 9-7. I totally see what you mean though...I wanna change it. This is my irrational theory.

-Clausen will have an excellent camp and preseason while Moore will look shaky due to him not really being a practice guy.

-Like you said, I think we will lose those games due to defense/getting outscored. I definitely see CIN and NO outscoring us. CHI and SF can go either way. To me, if we win both of those games, we're prolly going to the playoffs. I just like SF cuz they have a better D on paper right now and CHI cuz I think Peppers will turn into an animal for this game.

-I don't really trust Fox to give Moore the same loyalty that he gave Jake. I could most definitely be wrong though...

-Clausen getting 7 wins is just extreme optimism for the future on my part. 4 of those games are gimme-wins to me. I always split the NO and ATL series in my predictions no matter what so that's 6 wins right there. :D

I'm pretty sure I'll have some changes once training camp and the preseason rolls around.

I also think that we will struggle the first of the season but I don't necessarily think it will be Moore's fault. If Moore plays well and we still lose then I don't think Fox will want to replace him. If on the other hand Moore struggles, the defense struggles and we lose 4 out of the first 5 for example, I just have serious doubts that Clausen will be able to come in and do any better. Sure we are going to win 6 or 7 games this year but I am just not counting on Clausen to ride in on a white horse and save us.

I think that will put too much pressure on him to win. I think he will know our offense but it wil take some time for him to pick up the pace of the NFL and recognize the defenses.

Given the resurgent defense i am tempted to raise my opinion...but 1-3 with 30 points in 4 games is no good.

We still need WR and Moore has not looked great (but who knows what schemes they were working on)

I hope peter King is right but 6-10 is the answer

Why does everyone have us loosing to the Giants? I think we can beat them. The toss up games to me are Chicago SF and Atlant. We could go 10-6 or 7-9. I dont think we will be worse or better than these two records. It will be a tough year on the D, but I think our O should be able to keep up with anyone we play, except the Saints. Unless Moore and Clausen both have really bad years.

      well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.

      Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.

      Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
