Best/worst uniforms in NFL

In the spirit of the offseason before the all-star games, I think this will be interesting if not silly--try to be objective--forget the team, purely look at the HOME uniform design for the 2024 season.

In the third category, consider throwback uniforms only.

1. Best looking HOME uniform in the NFL:

2. Ugliest home uniform in the NFL:

3.  Best looking Throwback Uniform in the NFL:

That is it.  Just curious what Huddlers think.  Add reasons/explanations if you want.

Best looking home jersey: (honestly like all of their home options. The dark blue looks great as well)

Justin Herbert earns recognition on “All-Film Team” - Bolts From The Blue

Ugliest home uniform. (Unis have been a disaster since the rebrand. The logo is awful, the wordmark is awful. The stupid fuging dots in the numbers are awful) Honestly there were many to choose from in this spot. Honorable mention to the Seahawks and Falcons

Commanders Expected To Start Jayden Daniels In Week 8

Best throwback: (Helmet sets it apart. Just classic NFL goodness)

HIGHLIGHTS: Every Throw and Rush by Drake Maye in Debut vs. Texans | Patriots

Same page.  I like the Chargers, hate the Commanders (but the hate for Atlanta's home jersey is growing on me--and I really think the Seahawks electric green is awful, but not their usual home--the Lions' all gray was bad), and love the old Patriots.  Why they ever changed from that red with the UCLA stripes and that white helmet--I will never understand.

I see the Kelly Greens in Philly as an option

They should go back to these.  When they were losing, people mocked the "Errol Flynn" Buc on the side of the helmet--some said it made the team look gay because Errol Flynn was rumored to be--and that could have caused the brand switch--but this design with the flags avoids that issue.

I was just about to post the same thing about Atlanta lol.  Chargers are definitely the best uniforms right now imo.

You know what else is ugly and dated to hell?  The Seahawks uniforms.  They need to go back to their old ones.

I really like throwbacks and bright colors though.  For example, I think the Broncos should have gone back to those instead of the boring update they did.

The Broncos is a good example.  I hated their helmets, but they could be modified, but the unis were on point.  I would be OK if they kept the navy blue with orange instead of the royal blue--I never liked the old Jim Zorn Seahawks' unis that much, but the addition of Nickelodeon Green was a terrible decision, one they stuck with--some may like it, but not me.

I nearly put the Raiders as my #1.  I also considered the Oilers' throwbacks--but those red Pats jerseys with white helmets -- awesome

    • Watched the recent Mic'd up which had the Bucs game. This angle makes that fumble look so much worse, pretty sure it was inbetween Bryce's hands.   bbb.mp4
    • Here is what you did not mention (and I have not read the thread--but will--it is a needed) and that is the MAFF.  He is in a contract year (2026-5th year) and we will not know (in all likelihood) how the knee is healing by the time we have to decide on a mega deal.   If you consider the time it takes to fully heal is 12 months if all goes well, the injury is known to shorten careers.  Of course, a man of 330 lbs who needs agility to perform at a high level makes the injury a bit more serious than it was for Jimmy Graham, for example, who recovered in a remarkable 9 months.  Having said all that, I think he should be moved inside to guard.   While many NFL linemen can return to play after patellar tendon surgery, studies show a significant failure rate and reduced performance, with return-to-play (RTP) rates often cited around 50-56%, meaning roughly 44-50% don't make it back, and even those who do often see reduced careers and statistics, highlighting it as a devastating injury for linemen." I think you have to go after an elite OT, and I think it should be a first rounder because you don't sign elite LTs in free agency.  Ickey is already going to get paid $18m or so in 2026.    However, the money you save by not locking him down long term could go to a free agent edge or ILB.  It is very complicated if you start factoring in contracts, risks, cap, and the odds of recovery.
    • Yes, we played the 2nd most cover 3 in the NFL behind the Raiders.   The flats and seams are the areas you want to attack it so its soft spots are areas qbs can hit quickly which can definitely hurt the pass rush.
