DEA exploring Saints case

Friday night, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported on the filing of a lawsuit against the Saints by former director of security Geoffrey Santini, who alleges that he resigned after G.M. Mickey Loomis tried to cover up the abuse and/or theft of Vicodin by two unnamed senior staff members.

Early Saturday afternoon, we reported that the two unnamed senior staff members are coach Sean Payton and assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt. (The New Orleans Times-Picayune and, subsequently, the AP confirmed our report.)

So what does all this new info mean? Possible new coaching staff for the Saints this year? If so the magic from last year wouldn't transfer into this year very well. And would hurt the Saints organization tremendously.

I hope for the best for the Aints but I'm shocked by this news, I mean why in the hell would someone break the law for Vicodin? why not stronger pain medicine if your going to steal it? I just don't get it.

yes analyzethis#28

sean payton is going to be fired because he borrowed hilly billy heroin to help him sleep at night.

next up, am I going to go to jail for raiding my mom's medicine cabinet every time I go to their house for dinner?

This will be a Public Relations nightmare for them, but will not get Payton fired. I am as excited about it as anyone (from a football only standpoint), but the Saints will nt be destroyed by this, no matter how much we hope it will.

    • Dude had more games under 150 passing yards last season than he did games over 200 passing yards.  Hes still the same QB whatever improvement you few guys are seeing is marginal at best and mostly due to a better cast and OL, not the player himself.
    • *someone posts an offseason fluff pic of Bryce Young trying out a new look*   *WW3 commences*   Never change, Huddle.
    • thank you for spending your time digging back into my comments on Bryce from his rookie year to try and contradict what I am saying on him 3 years later. that makes total sense. I am man enough to admit that when I used to drunk post on here during game days in his rookie year, I was not happy with his performance. opinions can change and he has done enough since then to have me feeling positive about where the team is heading and the position we are in to evaluate for another season. people like you completely box themselves into a corner though of only seeing the negative and not admitting when they are wrong. I am happy that my stance has changed and that I only resorted to a few drunk posts 3 years ago rather than spending every day racking up thousands of posts over the course of his 4 year career.
