I am still amazed at how despite being shockingly average at LT and VERY good but not great at RT, Jordan Gross has been able to fool everybody into thinking he's the best tackle in the league.

He is going to get a boat load of money at the end of the season from somebody. With any luck, that somebody will not be us. Nothing personal, but he's not the kind of tackle you want to sink a small fortune into.

He has been rewarded for the success of the Carolina running game when the accolades belong on the other side of the line with Jeff Otah and Keydrick Vincent and to a lesser extent, Ryan Kalil.

Wharton has been very strong at guard as well. In fact, it wouldn't be outside of the realm of reasonable to call Jordan Gross our weak link on rushing downs. I would also imagine he leads our team in false starts, though I wouldn't know that right off hand.

If we can bring in a LT that can tread water and keep the rest of the line together, we can replicate our success of the line from this season.

Boldin and Fitz are in a pass first offense and cant do sh*t in sh*tty weather..Smitty is on a run first team and when his chances come which is not as often as boldin and fitz's he really takes advantage. + Smitty missed 2 games. I know Boldin missed some time, and im not sure if Fitz missed any time but I don't think he did. Smitty is better, Smitty doesn't have the best stats QB either, Warner has a been a BEAST this year, I wonder what Fitz and Boldin would do with an average QB at the helm.

Before Warner, Fitz had 1,400yds with Josh McCown throwing him the ball, gimme a break. This is the same Josh McCown who couldn't make the team in Oakland or do better than third string in Miami.

I just want to know why you guys know more than the rest of the world? That is my only question, because nobody who lives outside of Carolina agrees with you. Is there some anti-Carolina conspiracy I should know about?

One question. How many games did Fitzgerald make one of his patented grabs over 2 defenders in the last 2 minutes of the game to set Arizona up to win the game. I can think of 3 times Smitty did it for us to win and once where he did it but we lost against the Giants.

He does it every damn week man, we are the Cardinals for Christ sake. We are ALWAYS coming from behind.:D

There's no doubt smith is better than fitzgerald career wise. This year if he had played those 2 extra games, he would be killing everyone. Smith always comes up big in the big moments. Cards fans will have a front row seat to that tomorrow night.

Actually you are....WRONG. First, since Fitz came into the league 4 years ago, he has the most yards of any reciever (with Smith right behind him 5,195-5152). But look at who has scored more points for their team in their careers and you will see that Fitz dominates your boy in that category. He has more TDs in almost half as many games. I could understand you trying to make a case for Smith being as good but there is just no chance he is better. It was

edit- I just looked at their career stats and it isn't even close. I had been saying that they were about equal but looking at these has just changed my mind, Fitz AND Boldin blow Smitty's doors off. If you dont want to take my word for it look at these:

Look at the offenses they are in. Smith is in a run first offense. If Smith was in a pass first offense like your boys, then he would decimate them all.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
