Hope the Panthers use 4 wide more often

With Clausen it doesn't even matter, dude is just a monster!

He needs to start day one!!!!!! SB!!!!!!!!

Matt Moore paid his dues last year and with the qb rating he had against some pretty good teams, I would run with Moore if the world was mine.:willy_nilly:

nothing against moore, kid is solid in my eyes (could get something for him). But clausen is on another level, i mean this kid is like if Peyton manning, tom Brady, and jay cutler all ha a threesome Jimmy would be the result. the power, the accuracy, the dicision making... just light years ahead of anyone else to come out in decades!

Kid is a probowler, mark my words!!!!

Yeah, he is on another level than those guys.....Clausen had a losing record in college and his greatest victory was against Hawaii. That puts him in a completely different level than those other names mentioned.

There was also a highlight-reel grab by Armanti Edwards, but those are becoming more common with each practice.

that's what I like to see.. this kid COULD be great.. we'll see

on another note...some of you people are retarded...

this 9 year old keeps calling into the Dan Patrick show to break down the Suns/Lakers game... he has better takes than most people here.. he breaks down what he sees and not what he assumes or projects.. out classing the adults.. crazy! I know!

i dont think we'll have too much 4wr on a running team, but i definately see some 3wr sets. edwards laffel and jarret will all see the feild this year.

but i think our TEs will be pretty good this year. we may still see some passing formations we havent seen in a long time

edit - well i just saw the TC update. i guess we will be using some 4wr. probably wont use it much on gameday tho

we've seen this trend with screen plays and 4 WR sets before... I will still hope!

Shouldn't we prove first we can go 2 wide? We've been 1 wide for so long I just would love to be able to go 2 or 3 wide first.

you would assume that to be the case... however, you can go 4 wide and get better results from mediocre receivers than going 2 wide with medicore receivers..

I think that article's main point backs that up... in it, they mention how the 4 wide formation is when our offense can do nothing right..

    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
