Do you have a sports team you love more than the Panthers?

Recommended Posts

For those of you SOCCER fans that live in North Carolina and mainly in the Triangle and surrounding area's, have you ever been to a Carolina Railhawks game? They play in the USSF D-2 Pro League which is either one league's below the MLS. Now it is not like any EPL (English Premeir League) game but they are fun to go to and it is the only pro soccer team in North Carolina.

NOTE: There are two other soccer teams in North Carolina and they are the Charlotte Eagles and the Carolina Dynamo. I will show the American Soccer Pyramid for a little more understanding. The Railhawks used to play in the USL-1 until it disbanded last year.

American Soccer Pyramid

Major League Soccer {None}

United States Soccer Federation- Division-2 Professional League {Carolina Railhawks}

United Soccer League- Divison-2 {Charlotte Eagles}

United Soccer League- Premier Development League {Carolina Dynamo}

National Premier Soccer League {None}

United States Adult Soccer Association {Capital Area Soccer League}

I love all my teams the same cause they all play at different times but honestly it would be hard to beat my love for NCST and the Hurricanes just cause I'm from Raleigh and have attended both of their games since I was young, unlike the panthers for which the first game I ever went to was two years ago in the playoffs.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS! I was born and raised in near Indianapolis. I have been a fan ever since they left Baltimore. (1984) I've put up with some terrible teams, but still a fan! 1/2 Super Bowl wins!

CINCINNATI REDS! I have been a Reds since I was born (1957!) 3/4 World Series wins!

INDIANA PACERS/CHARLOTTE BOBCATS! (Tie)

INDIANA UNIVERSITY/CAROLINA PANTHERS (Tie) I have been an IU fan longer, But live here now.

Panthers, Hurricanes, Gamecocks. No particular order there. I can't pick any favorite between those three. I like football most of all, but I have been a Gamecock fan longest, though I want to see southern teams win in a traditionally Yankee sport more than anything. So all of them are about even.

Lesser teams: The Bobcats (though I am not gonna forgive the NBA for letting the Hornets leave town until the Bobcats are as good as the Hornets were ... so they have to win a first round playoff series), the UNCA (alma mater) Bulldogs, the Colts (my Dad followed them to Indy after nearly naming me after Johnny Unitas, despite Unitas pretty much disowning the Colts after they left Baltimore), the Anaheim Ducks (gotta keep the wifey happy), the Steelers (if the Panthers are gonna suck it up, at least let the locals around here be happy), the Penn State Icers (club hockey team, I'd never actively cheer for their scholarship teams but their hard-working club team deserves all the support they get), and any CFL team that has a former Gamecock on the roster (Canadian football is like the NFL in an alternate universe).

There is no MLB team worth pulling for. MLB died for me during the last strike. I sorta was glad to see the Phillies win the World Series last season ... if a Philly team is gonna win a championship, let it be in a sport I don't care about.

Been a Tarheel fan since Phil Ford was at the helm. But I cannot get enough of Panther Football. I am a borderline obsessive fan. I check the web everyday for something. Hell I even get desperate and come here to read what BS ppl are arguing about when things are slow.

So I LOVE THE HEELS BUT NOTHING TOPS THE CAROLINA PANTHERS

Go Panthers

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
